OT Baseball

Not that Hartford has gotten off to a good start by any stretch of the imagination.....however I thought it was newsworthy to say that Frosh Sean Newcomb picthed a no hitter the other day against Yale. I think it was the first no hitter a Hartford pitcher has ever pitched in their history.

Re: OT Baseball

Thanks for rubbing that in. I miss another no-hitter. I was down in Bridgeport for Union's hockey games Friday and Saturday and took a trip up to Hartford for game 1. One of my buddies wanted to go to dinner before the 6:30 hockey game otherwise I would have stayed until as late as 5 for game 2.

Re: OT Baseball

Maine at UMBC just ended a double-header, with Maine winning the second game 27-14. Can we please end this charade?

How about instead of giving up on baseball, you do something to improve that band box you call a field.

Re: OT Baseball

Former AE pitchers Scott Diamond (Bing), Murphy Smith (Bing) and Nick Tropeano (Stony Brook) are all off to good starts for their respective teams as they try and reach the bigs, or in Diamond's case get back to the bigs.

Didn't Stony Brook lose that final game to Albany to drop to 5-2 in AE?

Yeah, but then we came back to stomp 25-10 Rhode Island yesterday. We're doing fine. Will be a telling Maine/SBU series, as no one in the conference comes close.

I don't want say that it will come down to SBU and Maine because last year we said that and at the end the team choked vs Albany after sweeping the regular season against Albany.

I'm just going to wait and hope they keep winning
