New Attitude
I was reading a Bearcat article online from the Binghamton paper and the final paragraph really made me feel better about a nomadic recruit. Ronald Brown said, "Binghamton is good academically. God forbid anything happens where I can't help the team, which I'm definitely trying to do; I'll still be at a good school."
It's nice to see a player who is as committed to his education as his game... after all they are suppose to be STUDENT athletes. Press & Sun-Bulletin Article

At first I didn't think he was anything to be excited about, until I saw the schools that recruited him after high school. Rutgers, Hofstra, Umass Etc. Hes a big body with a good attitude. Maybe he will surprise us. |

Re: New Attitude
This is why it was BS that they picked Bing as the worst coaching job in the AE. Bing has top notch academics, the best fan support in the league, one of the top two facilities in the league, and a ton of community and institutional support. The only negative we have was a moment in time. That moment will continue to fade from memory over time, while all of the positives remain.
Glad this kid was smart enough to see it! |

Re: New Attitude
Hate to say it, he probably won't be much of an impact on the court. I saw him extensively at Hofstra, good kid no doubt, but was not anything close to a CAA level player. Had knee issues at CTK too. Pulling for him hard though, we definitely want some more academically focused players.

Re: New Attitude
This reminds me of one of those 3g vs. 4g phone commercials where one person has 3g and has no idea whats going on, and then the person with 4g has info that happened like 2 weeks prior

Re: New Attitude
If you keep continuously buying into this turnaround hype, your brain is working is 3g. Your academics are outstanding but your hoops program is a complete mess.

Re: New Attitude
You heard it here first Bing fans, your program is a complete mess. I guess you just have to accept it. Don't try to turn it around, don't try to get better players. don't try and get a new coach. You'd think this poster would focus less on you and worry more about why good players are leaving his program in droves.

Apparently you missed the whole Binghamton tossed Macon, replacing him with Tommy Dempsey from Rider and Asst/Conditioning Coach Lazarus Sims from Syracuse. Add to that, they were still the league leader in attendance even with only one regular season win last year, and are not shying away from spending money to bring quality staff back to the program. So its not that two year meltdown school anymore... disgrace no more!
