You're probably right...but man, the CAA just doesn't really seem as appealing as it once did.

The AE had one of the lowest RPI's in the country. Guess where that goes now that BU will be gone. If SBU leaves then the AE will battle it out in the play-in game forever....

Re: Who's going where? More fallout expected!
Honestly, there really is no need to do that. Unless the AEast was going to sponsor football, it really doesn't have to happen that way. However, if as Jeff just pointed out that suddenly SB, Albany & UNH went to the CAA as all-sports members, Maine would be begging & pleading with the NEC for sure. To be honest, if those schools all left, I really don't know what Maine would do as they just aren't very appealing to another conference.

Good point about the cost factor...they would certainly add some flights to the schedules of all their teams that's for sure. With the schools that have bolted the CAA, there isn't much doubt that the NCAA Tournament money will be diminishing as well.

The ESPN article I linked to alluded to it, but a move to the CAA isn't exactly obvious for the teams the CAA would like to add- if it was, they would have jumped already. Some people will try and tell us the CAA hasn't added all-sports members because it's being strategic and selective, but c'mon....you really think that's the case lol. They are having a hard time finding quality members. That being said, the CAA does have that NBC TV deal, which is a great move by whomever landed that on the CAA's end before VCU and ODU bolted. Anyone know if NBC has considered trying to get out of that deal since VCU and ODU left?
