Not sure how much stock we can put in this poll though. New Hamphshire is ranked higher than SB which I am sure we can all agree is quite ridiculous. To be honest, I think SB should probably be the fifth rated team. James Madison number five is a total joke. CAA bias is alive and well obviously. I would have no more than three CAA teams in the top 25, and none higher than 17.

I couldn't agree more. I heard Stony Brook trended on twitter once - that is good for at least top 3.

Lucky Bing doesn't have a football team. You would be begging us for mercy!!! I heard a rumor that the higher ups of Sunny told Bing they can't create a football team because they did not want Bing to hurt Stony Brooks feelings by crushing them year in and out.

I am shocked and chagrined, mortified and stupefied. This poll is outrageous! It is a waste of the FCS football fans' time and money. It is a travesty of justice that these voters have disrespected Stony Brook while the teams and fans of the vastly overrated CAA are walking around laughing - lying and laughing, laughing and lying. You know what Stony Brooks fans were in this situation? They were innocent bystanders. Now, you just think about that term. Innocent. Bystanders. Because that's exactly what they were. We know they were bystanders, nobody's disputing that. So how can a bystander be guilty? No such thing. Have you ever heard of a guilty bystander? No, because you cannot be a bystander and be guilty. Bystanders are by definition, innocent. That is the nature of bystanding. But no, Stony Brook Fans want to change nature here. They want to create a whole new animal - the guilty bystander.

I agree, Stony Brook should be #1. Have them call Alabama and LSU and get them on the schedule.

Go from the Big South with the Big Mouth to the SEC.

We already had LSU on the baseball schedule and hammered them in a Super Regional. We'd rather schedule teams that can give us a little competition.

I could bet that more people care about the FCS football leagues (CAA, SoCon, NEC, Big South, etc) football than America East basketball. 1AA football gets relatively good attendance in comparison to other sports. It is relevant. Obviously not as relevant as FBS football. You wouldn't know that though...

1)vermont only offers basketball + hockey
2)you are only a basketball fan

What are the expectations for Albany football this year. Is it an improved team over last year? Are they expected to win the NEC? playoffs?...

Its been very boring here for a week or so - Im trying to pick a fight and no one is biting. I suppose it is my own fault for being too predictable. If a new poster named PepperySeawolf shows up it is not me. My first instint after Ecasados question was to state - "Albany better win it this year because they will never win it again once they get to the CAA." That would have been mean spirited and meant just to be contentious. I too am interested in how Albany looks this year. It shouod be quite a fun football season. Good luck to Albany, Maine, and New Hampshire. You guys make us all proud. I recall fondly last fall when I was watching espn3 on my computer and all four teams were playing play off games at the same time. What a proud moment for the CAA - Big South - and NEC American East representatives in the tournament.

The NEC should be a dogfight. Albany's starting QB is a career 0-1 passing, other QBs are a freshman and a transfer from Colgate (who didn't play as a freshman there). Lost three OLine, three DLine, and three DBs to graduation. RB, WR and LB should be strong.

I thought he did play as a Frosh (Not a lot...but he played). He is a gamer.

BTW...a Delaware fan just said it was "confirmed" game on: URI, SBU and UA in the CAA for the 2013 Football Season.
