Re: 2012-2013 Seawolf Pride
I am pleased a punch with the back and forth of the past 15 hours. This is what i've been craving in the message boards. Albany certainly takes a back seat to no one as they are always in contention to win The Commisioner's Cup led by their field hockey and indoor track and field teams. Im also quite sure that Bing's football program will bring that school much acclaim.
On another note - another fine article on college basketball by John Rothstein. In this article he details all of the prominent "glue guys" in all of college basketball. Anyone wanna muster a guess on who might be on the list? Go ahead, just shout it out. You all know the answer. That's right, Stony Brook University, the flagship of the SUNY system, proudly presents, Tommy Brenton! http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2013/01/...ge-basketball/ |

Re: 2012-2013 Seawolf Pride
At this point, comparing Tommy Brenton and Brian Voelkel is like comparing Major League Baseball with the Cape Cod League. The Cape Cod league is a lot of fun and entertains many people. It is not however the Major Leagues. Don't take this the wrong way. Brian is a nice little player.

Re: 2012-2013 Seawolf Pride
It must have been difficult for Tommy Brenton and company watch Brian Voelkel's three at the top of key sink through the bottom of the net to solidify Vermont's control of the America East championship game last season. Can't wait for Friday. It's always entertaining watching Brenton and Voelkel go at it.

Re: 2012-2013 Seawolf Pride
If we win out, we win the league. It's that simple, we control our own destiny. The major advantage to winning the regular season this year will be not only getting the home court advantage if you make it to the championship game. But you get to skip playing Albany in the 2/3 match up. The other thing that is gona suck this year is there's no play in game. That was another advantage the #1 seed got. The team they play had just played the night before and would be tired.
