Re: Soccer Attendance
Binghamton soccer can get crowds in the 2000-3000 fan range against rivals in their 4 year old soccer stadium and average nearly 1900 a game. People are getting excited about baseball for next season too, now that a new baseball stadium was recently completed.

Re: Soccer Attendance
During homecoming it gets packed, which obviously happens because they have no football team. Those games are very, very fun to be a part of, though. And of course the new baseball stadium will open up the year after I graduate!

Re: Soccer Attendance
SBU soccer doesnt draw more than 1k at LaValle but to be fair... Lacrosse gets more on average about 1,500 per game which is not bad

Re: Soccer Attendance
Northeastern had 1500 fans for a win over Harvard over the weekend. Even more impressive was that 1500 students found their way from campus to Parsons Field.

Re: Soccer Attendance
The Hartford Women's Soccer team did well too. They had 1053 attend the 4-0 win over Holy Cross on 9/13. Not quite sure
what these teams have done to spike their attendance. |

Re: Soccer Attendance
Maybe because Hartford, Bing, and Northeastern don't have American football?

Re: Soccer Attendance
Last two posts= also explains reasons why Binghamton also leads in basketball attendance every season.
Not only is basketball its only winter sport, it's the main sport period.

Re: Soccer Attendance
Could be that. I would still like SBU to develop its soccer following. We are putting really good teams out there. I think we are one of the top 70-80 teams in the NCAA. Both W&M are playing great. An average of 700 is not bad for soccer but ideally it would be awesome if it was in the 1k-2k range.
In terms of Football. Yes, LaValle has gotten great crowds for the past 10-12 games ( with the exception of the Coastal Carolina game last year with the Snowstorm). Even the Pace game (DII) got over 4000 fans out there. Homecoming next week should be a sellout and perhaps even record-breaking
