Re: OT: Beer at Maine football games
Not exactly. I got to the game tonight 45 minutes before the start. I would gladly had a beer had they had any of the fine beers they have in Maine available. But they did not even have beers unless you consider Coors light and miller light beers. I do not.

Re: OT: Beer at Maine football games
Bob's not arrogant and smug, he just knows beer (boy does he know beer). We went to the Sea Dog Brewing Co. after the game. Sampler Tray ... good!

Re: OT: Beer at Maine football games
It's extremely difficult to not enjoy a nice cold Coors Light- but if someone can screw that up then it's bob87.

Re: OT: Beer at Maine football games
Gotta disagree with Bob on this one.
IF you have beer at a college game, which is a rarity, you drink it. I brew my own beer...and frankly, can't stand Coors--and my sister is way up the executive ladder at MillerCoors. That aside...i'd rather drink Coors and Miller Lite than not drink a beer at all at a game. Just sayin... |

Re: OT: Beer at Maine football games
i have to agree with Bob on this one. I went to a Maine football game and ordered a hot dog. When I went to the condiment section there was no Grey Poupon. What kind of dump only has French's and Gulden's?

Re: OT: Beer at Maine football games
You are entitled to drink as much of that crap as you want. I can drink my beers before the game and I can wait until after the game for the victory beer if that is all they sell at the game. I don't even drink coors lite in Coors field. When I was last at Coors field 4 years ago they had a good microbrew on the lower level 1st base side as even they know you have to have a better beer than coors.

![]() There's plenty of beers better than Coors Light, sure- but if someone drinks beer and that's all there is and you can't enjoy a nice cold Coors Light at a sporting event, then something is wrong.

Re: OT: Beer at Maine football games
This thread has me officilly depressed. It is so quiet here and this is the most action we've had in months. Is this just the lull before the storm? Or are these boards dying? This is probably sad to say - but I get a major part of my life's entertainment from this board. There must be some hype at UMBC and Binghamton. Hartford and Maine must be thinking top four this year. I feel good about everyone's chances for avoiding the Play in Game for the tournament. We got rid of the pretentious snobs from Boston. This should and could be a banner year for the conference. (ok - thats massive hyperbole - but thats what I do) Please reassure and comfort me that Maine serving light beer is not going to be as good as it gets here in the future.
