Re: Hartford gets 2013 commitment
Lsbal- Found this online from a few days ago
"Hartford signee Preston Anderson exploded for 45 points to lead Cayuga to a 68-66 win against Palestine Westwood on Monday. The win makes Cayuga 12-5 overall. The Wildcats were ranked seventh in Class A Division I in the last Texas Association of Basketball Coaches poll." Do you have any stats for Anderson this season? I see he is also listed on some sites as 6'7" now. |

If they use another scholy ( this year they kept 1 unused) I wouldn't mind taking a flyer on an Australian 6'11 kind of project. |

Re: Hartford gets 2013 commitment
I can tell you that ya'll are getting one hell of a ball player. He can do it all, great ball control, pure shooter, dunk on you. He won us the state title as a freshman, came off the bench in the 4th and racked up 15 points, all 3's if i remember correctly. He put up 45 points against 3a westwood, they couldnt stop him as he was hitting nba 3's. He had 33 points against #9 state ranked kerens with 2 big dunks. He has helped cayuga go 40-0 in district and 120-17 overall the last 4 years. And he's a good kid.

Re: Hartford gets 2013 commitment
Yuga30.......thanks for the info on Preston. From what I have heard he will fit in at Hartford perfectly. How tall is he at this point? What position does he primarily play? I figured he would play the 2 in college but it appears he might be more like a 3.

Re: Hartford gets 2013 commitment
He plays point guard and shooting guard, he is 6'7 right now but has another inch to go, reason I say that is his dad is 6'8 and mom is 5'9. He could use some weight as well, 185lbs.

Re: Hartford gets 2013 commitment
Yeah Abilene Christian wanted him and trinity valley has been trying to recruit him since the 10th grade and still trying to talk him out of going to Hartford. He didnt want ACU cause something about they cant play for any championships since they are in new division. Grades and SAT has really limited where he can go. My daughter has helped bring his grades up some and will more then likely be helping him at Hartford, she applied yesterday.

Re: Hartford gets 2013 commitment
Sounds like yuga's daughter is dating him and sounds like he is a 3. I question how well a 6'6", 6'7" guy can guard d1 SG's. Is he quick enough to guard SG's? His size makes him a legit SF though he is pretty skinny. The biggest question with moving on to the next level is who can you guard.
I think that's a big reason why we don't see a player like Harrison Taggart playing for UVM. At this point he can't really guard anybody. |
