Re: America East Gameday 11/11
OSU wins it 82-60. UA played better than the score shows. Their shooting touch stayed in NY, though. Rebounds were about even and Mike Black was very impressive.

Re: America East Gameday 11/11
Pretty sure they decided to broadcast SBU/ Mt. Ida rather than Syracuse/San Diego State

Re: America East Gameday 11/11
I knew Jameel Warney would bounce back after a rough first outing. He is absolutely killing Mt Ida right now. As the WUSB announcing team said, "like a man among boys out there!" Bracey misses the break away dunk as Mt Ida looks to cut the lead from 28-3. Sweet - Fran Frischilla at the game checking out SB since he has the Rider call Tuedsay morning.

Re: America East Gameday 11/11
If the conference can ban BU from post season play in the conference , they can also ban these regular season D3 games.
Exhibition only. It's such a joke and so small-time.

Re: America East Gameday 11/11
I agree but will say this - SB cannot get anyone to play at home in Pritchard. Nobody! They have 3 ooc home games and one is Sacred Heart because they are playing a home and home this year. Im not making any excuses - playing a d3 is a total joke and im sure they couyld have scheduled one of the many top notch d2's in the area. I think the conventional wisdom is once the new arena is done and they can get some games at home this will stop.

Re: America East Gameday 11/11
michigan played slippery rock. slippery rock is division 2 but michigan is ranked number 5 in the country. i think it is nice for D2 and D3 teams get a chance to play with the big boys on the D1 level.

Re: America East Gameday 11/11
My guess is that Pikiell and the team hate this game also. They are getting nothing out of it. They are playing three games in an 80 hour span. Marist 9pm friday - Mt Ida today, and Rider Tuesday morning at 6am. I would bet every cent I had that the coaching staff would much rather be planning for Rider today then destroying Mt Ida.

Re: America East Gameday 11/11
No idea why teams don't just practice instead of playing these games. What if someone gets injured.
How much of a profit do they make?

Re: America East Gameday 11/11
Just got back from the Brook. I liked what I saw. There is a lot of promise in this team. I definitely liked our new recruits. We should be in the top 3 come March. GO SEAWOLVES!

Hopefully by 2014 SBU won't have to do this anymore. I'm confident that with the new arena that will bring many more season ticket holders and better teams to play at Stony Brook Today was a good day. The competition sucked but at least people came around and watched
