Not only will the Albany players get more experience and get better playing a school like Ohio State, it will be a better overall experience and more enjoyable for them as well. Additionally, it will help their RPI, and they have absolutely nothing to lose. Beating a school like Ohio State, ranked #4, would be a monumental win for their program. There's just too much upside. Comparing playing Ohio State to Mt. Ida is just silly.

Re: America East Gameday 11/11
My one and only comparison that I used was the disparity in talent level. If I remember my 10th English class I was trying to make an analogous relationship -- Stony Brook is to Mt. Ida as Ohio St. is to Albany. Every other comparison would favor playing a major bcs school. Stony Brook fans can certainly relate to this as it was just a few months ago that we went into LSU in the Super Regional and defeated that national power to get to the College World Series. So we know what we are talking about on this one.

Stony Brook playing Mt. Ida is like the Los Angeles Lakers playing Cal-State Fullerton in a regular season game.

Re: America East Gameday 11/11
It appears that the D3 Tigers, Petrels and so forth all were defeated tonight. UMBC beat the Eagles. Are these "public service" games? What's the point?
