So even through Dom Morris has played horribly through two games, other players are picking up the slack. Rebounding was 34-30 in favor of Canisius. We outrebounded Northeastern I believe.

Foul trouble appears to be a much bigger issue through the first two games. We amassed 26 fouls against Canisius. They shot 26 free throws to our 9. Same thing happened against Northeastern. Some of it could be attributed to very aggressive defense and going for steals, but size is the biggest issue with this.

I really wish Jones had landed a JUCO Center for next year. BU fans have to feel very good about every position except center, but it is a glaring weakness.

Watching the game, I think the foul situation was again attributable to the size deficit. Canisius had three VERY LARGE MEN playing in the middle, all I think 6'10" or bigger. If they got the ball, or caught a rebound, we were powerless to defend them except by fouling. (I'll also add that I thought the officiating went against BU, but do not want to use that as an excuse)

I think it's unfair to say Dom is playing horribly. He is physically outmatched if he's put at center, but there is no other option. He was shooting pretty well from mid-range but got dominated when banging inside, so he picked up fouls quickly and had to sit.

I was at the Northeastern game. Yes Dom has a nice touch, but this has less to do with being overmatched and more to do with basketball IQ. I saw Nate D telling him where to stand several times... a freshman telling a junior where he should be lined up. He is our biggest body and gets beat on defense on most plays and doesn't grab rebounds. The occasional 15 foot jumper is nice, but he isn't doing the other stuff well enough to see quality minutes on a team that needs size.

Things can change and itís a long season, but it already seems our best lineup is Nate D, Malik, and any three of Irving, Watson, Robinson, Papale. Those are pretty clearly our 6 best players and the minutes reflect that and the freshman are most likely to improve.

I'm really impressed by Dieudonne two games into his college career but I'll be damned if I can pronounce it.
