Impresive victory for Albany. What a great day for the America East.

For those that look at these things more closely... Is the league looking better right now than what it did last year?

SB is going to UConn, going to Maryland, going to Seton Hall. As far as getting huge wins for the confernce, we have that covered. WE HAVE BEATEN MARIST AND RIDER IN THE PAST FIVE DAYS!

Let's let history decide how big a win the Albany game is. In a vacuum of the first week of the season it looks good. Let's judge it when the season is all over. If Washington is a 15 or better win team then we can view it as a great win. If Washinton ends up 8 and 23 then we can let history decide that the game should have been taken with a grain of salt. Also, let's not base the level of the win on the fact that Washington was good last year.

Washington will be nothing like it was last year- they had 2 first rd draft picks on their roster in Terrence Ross (lottery) and Tony Wroten (25), but beating Washington is still beating Washington.

No, they are not ranked now- but this will most likely still be one of the best RPI wins for the conference.

Albany didn't go on the road because it had no home games and wanted to "shoot the moon". It LEADS THE AEC IN HOME OOC GAMES. This was never even a debate! Albany went on the road because the opportunity presented itself to do so against a great team that would pay well, and scored a remarkable win in the process.

Tell your fans, recruits, and players that you only plan on playing 3 home games in the first 3 months of the season. Are you insane?!? Taking a home D3 game is not just logical, it's what EVERY OTHER TEAM IN THE CONFERENCE IN THIS POSITION DID.

Get your head out of your @$$ and grow up. If we did this with the new arena - fine, I'll give you the criticism. But not Pritchard.

I don't think anybody at SBU likes it, and I don't think anybody really knows or understands why the game is played. "It is what it is." We don't pay any attention to it or care about it. The mystery is why some other folks seem so obsessed with it. It's one irrelevant game in a long season. Everybody at SBU is a lot more focused on UConn, Maryland, Seton Hall, and the grinding conference schedule.

But feel free to keep chiming in and telling us what we should/shouldn't be doing with our team. After all...it's what you DO.

You know how stupid it is to be playing Mt. Ida, just man up and admit it. You know there are numerous alternatives- such as finding any D1 team in the country that will host a game.

Oh- and here's Vermont's schedule in 09-10, and we went to the NCAA Tournament that season.

Teams do what they have to do to get better. First 10 games of the season were on the road in Marqus Blakely's senior year:

True...but looking at them they were still MUCH BIGGER AND MUCH MORE ATHLETIC then ANY AE team. We had no business winning that game on talent alone.

FWIW, Washington was picked 5th in Pac-10 (12?) Media Poll. Pretty solid.

Abdul Gaddy was a McDonald's All-American.

NJIT is/was D1, that's all that matters. They lost by 1 to Providence the other day. You'd be much better off playing NJIT at their place than Mt. Ida at home- not sure why I'm needing to explain that.

First 10 games to open the season...all on the road...you saw that, no?
