1. Sacred Heart is terrible. Terrible throughout the game. They have one good player (#12), and that's it. They played terrible, they defended terrible, they can't shoot, and they throw hissy fits every time they foul someone.

Funny thing is, with how terrible Sacred Heart is...it was working for all but the last 3 minutes of the game.

3. This whole "pass the ball around for 30 seconds to drain the shot clock then take a terrible shot on a bootleg play" gig that SBU does when leading with 5 mins left...it has to stop. We are now 0-5 against terrible teams when doing it. We lost to Sacred Heart doing it two years ago. We lost to Lehigh doing it. We lost to Wagner despite being up 15+ at one point doing it. And we lost to Holy Cross doing it.

God willing - this team will learn from this, and start playing like their talent should let them play. Just no heart in that loss.

Canisus up next. Big next week for SBU.

Shane Gibson is a good player and was huge for them down the stretch. Sacred Heart is bad but their style gives fits, always has. The over simplification of why we lost a game always makes me smile. That and the fact that we always objectify the other team as though they have no say in the outcome. Every season has losses you figure shouldn't occur and wins that are surprises. No need to be overly melodramatic. SHU did a good job of clogging the lane and denying entry into the post. They made driving the lane a tough task and had their bigs close to the bucket. Bad loss, but the St. Peters loss was way uglier. We shot 29% and lost by 2. They shot 46%. We'll be fine.

Urban has been here for a very long time...most of the posers vanished after the roof came down however. It will be good to have Bing back. It's no coincidence this league has dropped into the high 20's when their program collapsed. Looks like starting next year they will really start to get the rebuilding project under way, this year is a foundation.

Yep- watched it on CBS. They also beat Iona 98-92. We are going to have our hands full with them this year.

Yeah it will be good to have Bing posters back just as long as "Skookum" doesn't return.

I think whenever a team in this conference gets good you get many posters coming out of the woodwork. And there is always one that you wish you could "Return to Sender"

Binghamton gets a much needed win, just when attendance bottoms out at 1900+ a few more wins will get students back into the games and excited about the 'Cats going into conference play. The Community is still there, but the students on the ends have dwindled drastically this year.

I wouldn't say either of the students or community are "there". You could see in the video that the place was empty. a couple wins should change all that though. Also, attendance always seem to lag during the first semester for whatever reason. Its like people take a while to realize the season started.

Of course it didn't help attendance that the weather was 55 and sunny; this kind of weather is more often associated with mid-September rather than mid-November.

A Binghamton poster offered to fight me once. It was at the height of the Broadus/DJ Rivera/Maybin/Alvin era, so that seemed rather fitting.

Binghamton fans as a whole- especially the die hards that have continued to post over the last few year when the weather hasn't been as kind- Urban (even at his most homer-ific)

, Bingo!, BingGrad, bingbearcats- are great IMO.

Agreed. While "paid" attendance was 1900 +/-, actual attendance was closer to 1000-1200. Win a few games and they will come....
