Re: Yale @ UVM 11/21
Kinda says something about our depth when those two can be 0-11 FG and we still have a 17pt lead.

Re: Yale @ UVM 11/21
UVM took care of biz, win 65-52. Yale misses Greg Mangano and Reggie Wilhite badly.
Our defense was excellent overall. Nice to see Crenca back. Elbaum was great defensively. Rusin scored 18pts and Voelkel was Voelkel, had 12 boards and 5 assists. The frosh had nice games as well. O'Day was off to a nice start before getting derailed by fouls and Kilpatrick had 8pts on 4-4 FG. Blue came up lame and didn't return- hopefully he's alright, but did not look like anything serious.

Re: Yale @ UVM 11/21
Kilpatrick impressed me tonight! Elbaum is a great defender! Rusin had some nice moves inside. Free throw shooting on point! Voelkel has gone back to the don't take shots, get rebounds and assists Voelkel (I'm perfectly fine with that!)

Re: Yale @ UVM 11/21
UVM did not make a 3 in the game tonight and only attempted 6. Been a while since that's happened.

Re: Yale @ UVM 11/21
Perimeter D was excellent on Morgan- last year had 14pts on 4-5 3pt FG. Tonight 2pts and 0-6 FG.
Hmmm...

Re: Yale @ UVM 11/21
These standings should go up once this game is included in the stats.
Vermont #25 in the country in Free Throw Percentage. Carissimo tied with 33 other players for 1st in the country in Free Throw Percentage. Apfeld #44 in the country in Free Throw Percentage. |

Re: Yale @ UVM 11/21
UNH drops one on the road to NJIT, 69-67.
Damn- tough loss. NJIT isn't as bad as they used to be- they almost beat Providence- but UNH should have won this.

Re: Yale @ UVM 11/21
Quote:
The defense was REALLY bad in the last ten minutes, as they blew a 57-50 lead. With that said, I have no idea if anyone in the AEast can really contain Chris Pelcher. He's really, really hard to guard. NJIT was more talented than what I expected, but given the result at the 7-8 minute mark, UNH should've won this one. They trailed 67-66 and Myrick made 1-2 at the line to tie it. Bummer.

Re: Yale @ UVM 11/21
Crenca looked slow. I like him as our 4th big man. Elbaum played some nice d but he is a liability with his ft's. Rusin did a good job in transition on the break. He had a good game. O'day was def playing nice early on but fouls cut his first half short. Kilpatrick had a nice second half. First half looked a little shaky. Great team defense.
