UNH fans have suffered enough. Bill Herrion may have accomplished a lot at Drexel and has done an alright job of bringing UNH out of the depths of the America East - it's been nice to see the Wildcats in the middle of the conference - but honestly Billy's not the man for this job. If you want UNH basketball to excel, I'd suggest bringing in a younger coach who has a lot of connections and can recruit. I simply do not see how Herrion will ever take UNH out of the middle of this conference. If you want to stir in mediocrity, keep Herrion. If you want to actually see UNH play in the NCAA Tournament for the first time I'd suggest you look elsewhere. These UNH teams don't improve, offensively, they're atrocious and recruiting has been pitiful.

Please make the torture stop,

I was at a Broadway show today so I didn't see the game. Waiting to read the One Bid Wonders write up, as Sam was at the game.

Sounds like it was a terrific game to watch. Nwakamma had another good game.....as well as Moore. I like the fact that frosh Dyson is now getting off the bench. In an interview after the Lasalle game, Coach Gal said he wanted to redshirt Dyson, but decided against it.

It is an accomplishment to beat CCSU as we have not played very well against them for a number of years, and after last years trouncing, we needed to bounce back.

Frosh Cooper and Dyson look like they are going to give some quality minutes this year to help add to our depth.

Good luck to CCSU the rest of the way Ace.

I was at the game - Another very tough loss for the Terriers. They were up 6, but gave up the last 9 pts of the game, including the drive to the bucket And-1 with 00.2 sec left. They are showing good things, like defense this game which was exceptional, but their inexperience is hurting them late in games

Just got back in from the game and I'm not sure how you blame this loss on Herrion. Herrion can not shoot for these guys, rebound for these guys or shoot free throws for these guys. This team is a lot better than their record shows. The first half tonight the problem was we got beat up on the glass and did overall for the game 43-32. That stat along with shooting 10-18 from the free throw line compared to Holy Cross being 17-19 and there was your ball game. The guys made a great comeback coming out of hte lockeroom and I loved starting Chris Orozco in the second half with Rhoads, Myrick, Konan and Pelcher when they made their run and took the lead. Orozco is going to be a very good player for UNH and I would love to see him look for his shot more than he is. It was also good to see Frank Okeke and Logan Mortenson out on the floor tonight all be it not for a long time but when is the last time early in the season in a game that Herrion has played three freshmen? Tonight was a winnable game, NJIT was a winnable game, Bryant while winnable I think they're better than what people think they are and will make some noise in the NEC this year.

In terms of Garret JOnes I do not believe he is with the basketball club any more as he was not on the bench but ironically showed up once the game had started and sat in the stands. I'm not sure if he was upset that a freshmen had passed him on the depth chart and quit or what is going on. Maybe this new mysterious poster named wild100 can shed some light on her son or bf whomever Jones is to her.

Guys were competitive in all of these games which I know for a lot of you is not good enough but I think this is the best talent Herrion has had to work with and they need to address rebounding, still working on running the offense through the paint, zone offense and ft's that is a mental thing. This team has also been out on the road for along time and needs to get home to play some games. I think we're going to be ok and that these l's which no one wants will make us stronger going forward and help come conference time which is what really matters.

The Terriers start 3 upperclassmen- 3 upperclassmen that have been in an NCAA Tournament.

It's not youth as much as it's lack of quality size, and they start two guards that are 5'8" on stilts.

Herrion assembled this team. The results are his fault. Losses to Bryany, NJIT and Holy Cross are terrible losses. This team can't shoot because he didn't recruit anyone who can shoot. You win in college basketball with solid guards, UNH doesn't have any. Orozco is 1-for-9 to start the season. Rhoads is a liability on offense. So is Bronner. Scott Morris is a D2 player at best. Garrett Jones will probably go play at some D2/D3 school.

It's disappointing performance after disappointing performance with this team. They're not better than their record indicates, if they were than they'd have a better record.

Malik Rose isn't walking through that door.

Fast you sound no different than WrenFGun! You use to work for the basketball program, you of all people should understand what the recruiting requriements are for the basketball staff to get a player into the university. Orozco has only taken 9 shots in his college career and is known as a very good shooter. Matt Miller is a fantastic shooter. Bryant is not a bad basketball team, Holy Cross is not a bad basketball team. NJIT is better and was .500 last year but we should have won. Fast you can't win getting out rebounded and not making ft's. How are those two things Herrions fault? Come one Fast stop sounding like a typical fan you have been a part of this program you know what goes on behind the scenes the crazy admission requirments. These 3 freshmen and two he has signed for next year are very good players.

Competitive isn't saying much when you are LOSING the the absolute freaking DREGS of D1. Any and all excuses should be over by now...fire Harrion! Year in and year out UNH sucks...or peaks at mediocre. You are on pace for another losing season (RPIForcast.com) and will probably peak around 11 or 12 wins...if that to you is acceptable, well...good for you.

Tell us again how hard it is to recruit to UNH...maybe DII is more your speed. Sick and tired of people giving Harrion a pass because it's "so hard to recruit to UNH"

Ok bosiydid it is Herrion. We're five games into the season and there are all ready dregs of Div I? Bryant is going to surprise some people this year, Holy Cross is a good basketball team that I believe will finish in the top 3-4 of the Patriot League. Bosiydid you have no clue about the requirements to recruit at UNH and how they are so far ahead of any other Aeast school is it is sad. Please do not speak of a topic that you have no clue about. Come on Man!

All three of those schools including Holy Cross will finish below .500...MAYBE, MAYBE HC gets to .500...the other two are on pace for 10 or 11 wins and will have an RPI around 300 when all is said and done. Harrion sucks! He keeps recruiting offensive offensive (note: not a double type there) players...and then employs a chuck and duck system. How many more years is this guy gonna live on the Drexel years?

Now I know how the AFLAC Duck feels! My goodness Bosiydid will you put down your talking points and look at the offense Herrion is running this year. It is not chuck and duck. Why would you not answer my point about the recruiting standards that UNH faces that the other Aeast schools do not. Come on Man! Let me guess you were one of those guys that wanted to fire Will Brown a year ago also correct?

I have never once been employed by the UNH basketball program. You might have me confused with someone else. Herrion should be use to the academic standards by now. His recruiting classes have been awful. I'm not sold on this one until I actually see some production.

You know about the admission standards and the impact it has had on Herrion's recruiting. Come on man, your a smart guy. Use your research skills. Look into the recruiting, how many guys have said yes but admissions said no. But these guys were all NCAA cleared and Aeast cleared. Be a journalist Fast and do some research.
