Delaware has been solid. They beat Virginia. But yeah, CAA is down which was expected.

Re: AE Gameday 11/28
What it means, as I've argued with Siena fans for years, is that there's really very little qualitative difference between 14 and 28. There's 15 conferences there, but they're all fighting to be the #1 spear carrier behind all the stars. If there were a real difference, the Ivy League wouldn't be able to fall from 13 to 30 in one year.

Re: AE Gameday 11/28
The only time conference RPI really matters for mid-majors is NCAA Tournament seeding. Everything else is just noise. Mid Conferences like MVC and WCC are pretty solid year in and year out- but outside of a few, most look the same.
Its better to be ranked higher than lower though, same way its always better to have more points than your opponent when the game ends.

Re: AE Gameday 11/28
Bad loss. No doubt CAA is in for a tough time, but I think we all said that this summer.

The big issue with the game tonight is that Maine could have put it away if they would consistently look towards Fraser. Down the stretch, Northeastern switched on ball screens repeatedly, leaving Fraser being covered 1 on 1 away from the ball by 6'4" walk-on G/F Chris Avenant. Would be an automatic 2 every time if Fraser would touch the ball. Unfortunately, Edwards and Pollard got a bad case of tunnel vision and never seemed to look up off the screen to survey the court... Coincided with the final 4 minutes in which Maine let NU right back into the game. |

Re: AE Gameday 11/28
I go to NU graduate school, so I must just not be getting the stereotype... If the girl who did the half-time interview is the same one who did the pre game, she's in my graduate program - nice girl, was a pretty darn good women's player at Northeastetrn before hand.

I didn't catch the pregame but I thought the scroll at the bottom said she was NU '13. |
