Against URI, I don't think UVM played like they usually do. There were a lot of short possessions where the first semi-open shot got taken. Maybe the hot shooting At Harvard went to their heads.

The UVM defense just didn't seem to be in gear, and frankly hasn't been so far this season. There are going to be offensive woes for this team, so the team really has to defend. Last season there was an epiphany game where all of a sudden "a little help" just clicked and it lasted, more or less, for the rest of the season. Let's hope that the Towson game is the one this season.

I'm not alarmed losing to URI in the least and it's unrealistic to think we'll win every game. If someone would have told me we'd be 4-2 to start the year with only losses to UConn and URI I'd be pumped. We look better than we did to start last season.

I do think we need to see some guys start shooting the ball better- both Clancy and Luke are sub 40%- they are both better than that. Rusin is 33% from 3, that should improve. Clancy is 0-12 from 3- hopefully he starts hitting some because teams will continue to give him that shot.

Atleast Apfeld is making his ft's so his shooting possessions per points is 1 to 1. Right now its still efficient to give the ball to him. If he starts shooting better from the field look out. I agree that other people need to step up offensively. Voelkel hasnt been that aggressive and I've seen his pocket get picked a couple times when trying to drive. I'd like to see him try to abuse some smaller SF's on the block. Our other guards have been inconsistent. Elbaum, Blue, and Rusin haven't been a steady presence. Hopefully rusin can get on track.

I expect Rusin to find his range in the next couple games. I'm not concerned with Blue either. I think he will have a breakthrough game soon. Rugg needs to realize that he's not Matt Glass with those 3 pointers. Elbaum dribbles himself into a corner sometimes and has to make a desperation pass. He should slow his offense down a little bit. His defense is impressive though.

I didn't see the game, but box score shows Sandro had 4 turnovers and Elbaum had 1- doesn't seem like Josh was out of control, although I've seen him over-dribble into trouble before. That said, his shooting on the floor and at the line was less than stellar.
