Re: AE Gameday 11/29
I find it amusing that Kevin Ollie joked about being the best team in the AE. I had a similar thought earlier. What he shouldn't find funny is that there is no way in hell UConn is a top 25 team. They wouldn't win the A10, let alone the Big East.

Re: AE Gameday 11/29
Can someone explain to me how a pre-season first team all-conference player, a forward mind you, can play 24 minutes without managing to secure a single rebound? and exactly 1 rebound in his last 48 minutes?

Re: AE Gameday 11/29
I'm dumbfounded about Plummer. He was really bothered by Canisius' size and length. He put up too many difficult shots near the rim. So far, he hasnt looked good and I thought Roseboro's presence would surely help. Here were my thoughts after witnessing the carnage in person:

Re: AE Gameday 11/29
I was at the Hartford/Yale game last night. The last few years Hartford loses to teams like this. We seem to be on the rise even though the team is very young. What was realy nice to see is how well they looked (I will preface my joy in that Yale is not very good) in a road game. It does not take me too long to count how many road games I have personally witnessed Hartford win over the years. It was alos nice to see the team play well when Nwakamma was not having one of his better days. The first half both teams couldn't shoot. What I felt good about though was that Hartford was missing open jumpers and Yale's misses were contested tough shots. Hartford's defense has really improved. In the second half Hartford started hitting those jumpers and jumped out to a 23 point lead. Yale then made an 18-3 run after they started with the full court press and we did not handle it well at all. I assume that will be a large focus in practice as teams will see the tape. On top of not handling the press well we then started fouling like crazy. Granted teams make their runs and Hartford held them off and won by 9.
Very impressed with the two frosh that are getting time on the court (Cooper and Dyson). I think they will both have solid careers at Hartford. |
