Re: Towson @ UVM 12/5
Lol, uvm4life....I agreed with your above comment 100% until I got to "I think Four's reason is he got paid or he is really selfish"
Umm, I really don't think he got paid and not really sure where that came from. No he isn't loyal and he could have handled things in a much better way, but he didn't. I like Lonergan, I don't care for Four. He is a good scorer and was a joy to watch on the court. I also know he said some questionable things off the court regarding UVM and there fans off the court. (I'm not going into details on this, but myself and some people very close to the program witnissed this as well.) Who knows why he left and why he chose to do it in the way that he did, but I'm telling you his father was the biggest factor in this move IMO. In this day and age soo many kids are transfering in and out it is totally out of control. I don't wish anything bad on Four and I don't want him to fail, I simply have ZERO respect for him. (still a helluva ball player) We're doing just fine without him. 4-2 baby

Re: Towson @ UVM 12/5
Ya, CofC could hardly get the ball over half court. I shut it off at half time, but they were just awful. Missed opportunity for CofC, it's not everyday you get the #5 team in the country to come to your place.

Re: Towson @ UVM 12/5
Louisville is a deep, well built experienced team. If they do not make Final Four at minimum I'll be surprised. CofC is a solid mid- major team and they just steamrolled over them.

Re: Towson @ UVM 12/5
I can't imagine many players that have left the Vermont program over the year give it a ringing endorsement/have a lot of great things to say on their way out. That seems to be the nature of when things don't work the way you want them to and you leave.
Why some would let what an 18 year old college kid think/say effect them...well, I personally can't comprehend that unless you're a kid yourself. Just ignore it, like water rolling off your back. As UVM has shown, no one player is bigger than the Vermont program. We just keep winning. Actions speak loudest, everything else is just noise. Certainly could have handled it better and been more forthcoming to the staff and handled timing better- but I highly doubt that he was alone in making those decisions and there weren't other influences.

Re: Towson @ UVM 12/5
Just because people around you told you to do something dumb/wrong doesnt make it any less your fault. He is an adult. No one makes him do anything. I'm pretty sure he was 19 since he had a whole year of college but could be wrong. What Four did only affects me in how I think of him as a person. I was def upset hearing about his departure at first. It affected me then it that way as well.
I went a little overboard with my comments but not really. I do believe Four is a selfish person. I think he has done enough to show that. I do think he/his family was paid to go to Townson. It happened in the AE with Binghamton it's naive to think it wouldnt happen with Four. IF I was a coach I would have money sent to the only player on an NCAA team that didnt start and led them in scoring. Investing money into kids who can help your program succeed is a great investment. You will get that money back in your next contract. Just look at Calipari. Kidd-Gilchrist knew he wanted to play for Calipari in 8th grade. How was Christmas that year? What kid knows what coach he wants to play for in 8th grade. I could see a kid having a favorite school but coach? |

It's alright to dislike him but to accuse him of being paid to transfer is....obviously ridiculous.

On the topic of selfishness, you want to control another person's life and demand he live it as you want in order to satisfy your own petty desire for vicarious sports success. When he doesn't comply with your wishes, you anonomously slander him and his family. Go cheer for some other team, dirtbag. |

Re: Towson @ UVM 12/5
Turnovers are atrocious. So sloppy, ugly.
Wake up. Unwatchable right now.
