Mason is very good this year, they play great D. Umbc hasn't had a single open look..

UMBC down 40-29. Cut it to 7, but then we panicked and temporarily shut down. Morgan can't break a press....can't handle* a press.

UMBC cuts it to 45-39, but two missed opportunities and sloppy ball handling puts us right back at -10.

Morgan has been a problem tonight. Wayyy too sloppy, especially when UMBC closes the gap.

66-53 with 3 mins to go. UMBC played extremely well on the offensive side of things in the 2nd half, but the defense was horrid, as usual.

Judging just from the box, Morgan didn't seem to do too horribly, certainly not warranting comments like "Morgan can't break a press....can't handle* a press" and "Morgan has been a problem tonight. Wayyy too sloppy, especially when UMBC closes the gap."

I realize the box may not tell the full story, but 4 assists vs 3 turnovers in 37 minutes (against a good team that was apparently pressing) doesn't really scream *out of control* to me.

His shooting leaves something to be desired, but that has been true all season and will hopefully come around by conference play.

I like Morgan, and think he'll be good down the road, but last night he simply struggled against Mason's pressure. My comments were definitely warranted, as I had to watch him all night...I'm not just looking at the box score. At the end of the day he needs to stop picking up his dribble and learn how to go to his left, especially against a press.


His leadership is already present, so if he can improve over the years (which has been rare at UMBC) he'll be an AE top player.
