AE gameday 12/9
All 3 games are away and start at 4:00PM.
Maine vs Florida State UMBC vs Norfolk State Harford VS Fairleigh Dickinson I'm seeing Hartford as the only win today, but UMBC could surprise. Going up against the defending ACC champs is a tough game for Maine. |

Re: AE gameday 12/9
FSU has lost to Mercer and South Alabama this year but they have a lot of size, length and athletic ability. I just don't see Maine having much of a shot in this one.

Re: AE gameday 12/9
FSU is off to a real disappointing start and they got destroyed by their rival Florida last week. Michael Snaer is one of the better SGs around but is off to a slow start.
Maine might have a shot, but FSU may also be ready to take their frustrations out on someone.

Re: AE gameday 12/9
Interested to see how Hartford does against Fairleigh Dickinson as we get them at home soon. They seem to be better than last season and are now 4-4 with their losses coming to good teams in Xavier, Northwestern, Illinois State, and Lehigh.

Re: AE gameday 12/9
Interesting, I did not know he ended up there. I know they also have a Duquesne transfer, Melquan Bolding, that scores a lot for them.

Re: AE gameday 12/9
Maine, for all its improvements in athleticism at the guard position, still really struggled with seton hall's size and athleticism.
I would say that playing Dimitry Coronel would allow for a more athletic second unit of he and Lawton, but I can't see Woodward sitting Valjarevic. For all of the good defense and athleticism that Coronel brings he's a liability right now offensively. a real risk taker who could use some time to mature but he's got potential. Maine will need big games out of Mesghna, Pollard, and Allison to have a shot. I feel like Fraser and Edwards will show up regardless, but Pollard/Mesghna's outside shooting and Allison's rebounding could go a long way in determining the flow of the game. |
