I can't say I disagree with that approach because...it's sound and it makes sense and it works for them, although it may contribute to some early season losses.

That being said, it is a concern to see how little some of these guys actually shoot in some of these games. There should really be no reason Trey and Clancy ever take 3 and 4 shots in a game- unless both get injured or something. I also see very little rhythm shots, taking shots in rhythm, off the dribble or in transition.

It's not just concerning for wins and losses in 2012-13...I also worry about recruiting- we didn't get Anders Broman and maybe he never wanted to leave MN area and maybe he will not even be good once he gets to South Dakota State, but could you picture a SG like him being OK taking 4-5 shots a game? Does anyone think Dimitri Floras, Jeff Spellman, and JP Macura would be happy taking 4-5 shots a game? Ummmmm.....no.

Just some things to think about. And I'm not saying I think Blue and Rusin should be taking 15 shots each a game...but 4?
How many shots did Four average a game. The reason Blue and Rusin are taking so little is because they split minutes and they are not that great. If a player is good enough they will get their shots. We havent had a go to scorer for awhile. Fjeld was our last go to scorer. He was a player that you could give the ball to and expect consistent production. We dont have a consistant scorer yet. Our turnovers a game is def not helping the number of shots either.

Some players like to play in a system and some players like to play in a free flowing offense. As somebody who ran the flex when playing basketball I've heard multiple people complain about the lack of ability to create in it and put up shots. The really good players I played with/watched got all the shots they wanted though. People can get their shots in the flex. A problem for UVM is it takes awhile to figure out who has the hot hand because so many people take their fair share of shots.
