Re: CofC @ Vermont
Ya, Blue should start....I've been saying that for quite a while. Not sure what Beckers deal is with that.

Re: CofC @ Vermont
Lawrence- wow, tough shot. Luckily we won't see another back court as good as Lawrence/Stitt the rest of the way (unless it's in the NCAA Tournament.)

Re: CofC @ Vermont
Rusin can't handle the basketball- like at all. Really uncomfortable handling the ball, can't really take more than a couple dribbles before looking completely lost.
I knew he could shoot, but I did not know that he couldn't really dribble.

Re: CofC @ Vermont
I'm disappointed we're not taking 3s...like- look at the clock/scoreboard people. SMH.

Re: CofC @ Vermont
Really disappointing performance today from UVM. So many missed opportunities on offense and our defense on their guards was atrocious.
CofC is the better team and Lawrence and Stitt are awesome- but just not a good overall effort from us at all. 7-5 overall headed into conference play. I guess I'll take it but hoping for a little bit more. Voelkel had 8pts and 13 boards and some great steals, everything else was blech.

Re: CofC @ Vermont
It's not the effort. They have big problems scoring in the half court offense. There isn't anyone who can generate his own shot, and no one quick enough to consistently penetrate and cause problems. It's the opposite of Charleston, their guards dominated the game. This is where Four McGlynn is sorely missed. He was so dangerous from 3 that it made his penetration much easier.

We're really missing someone like....Four McGlynn. I'm hoping that's the type of player the staff is recruiting hard in 2014 and in turn the type of player that wants to come play for us.

Re: CofC @ Vermont
With Four McGlynn I think the Cats win today. He demands respect from 25 ft in, which also gives him the opportunity to penetrate and score or dish. Since the Harvard game Sandro has been given no space to shoot. His production has been down considerably. He made a few drives today, but compare him to either Stitt or Lawrence for CoC. Those guys caused all kinds of problems with their penetration.

Re: CofC @ Vermont
Last years team executed the offense better. And definitely handled game pressure better than this years team does. Shot ourselves in the foot in this one. So many missed point blank shots. Couple of missed FT's. Failure to close out on shooters in time. Little things that make a difference between winning and losing. Our guards haven't been able to keep anybody from driving the lane. They've had to cheat off of shooters and it's costing them big time.

Re: CofC @ Vermont
The good news is you guys will keep getting better. It's a work in progress and you have 16 league games to refine the offense for the post season. I still think you guys will be the team to beat come March.

Re: CofC @ Vermont
We are not far off from what most expected. I think most people would expect 4-5 losses. I thought we would lose at UConn, at Harvard, at URI, and CoC. I cant really complain about 1 loss off my expectations. Time to take care of the AE.

I'm guessing it was supposed to say "I still think you guys will be the team for SBU to beat in our gym at home in the conference tourney championship game come March." |
