CofC @ Vermont
Getting an early start on the game but I'm burned out with Xmas $hopping. I had been waiting for the return visit to see a good CofC team and also see Cremins. Alas Bobby is gone
![]() This game is a pickem...UVM at home is usually a tough out, IF they bring a focused and determined mindset. Early in the season I'd have them a 7 pt fav for this one,, now it's pickem. CofC is banged up a little and some guys coming back that hadn't played much due to injury. The have a couple of guys I remember from the a$$whippin that Goudelock and crew laid on us 2 years ago. Maybe the sight of thermometers in the low teens and snow up to thier knees will throw them off thier game! Lets go Mother Nature do your thing for 'em!

Re: CofC @ Vermont
It looks like nature will be doing its part for a UVM win. C of C is small, guard oriented and looks somewhat worse than UVM on paper. They average fewer points per game than UVM and turn the ball over more!
If the fans show up and the crowd is loud, UVM by 5. |

Re: CofC @ Vermont
Any idea if Charleston is in Burlington yet/ how they're getting there? Hopefully the disruptions from the weather won't effect the game.

Re: CofC @ Vermont
Friday ought to be an OK travel day. If they fly in during the afternoon they can practice, get a quart of fries each from Al's and still have time to enjoy Red Square. It'll be a good trip no matter what the game score is.

I don't make predictions often, but the cats make a statement here and win by double digits.
Hopefully they filled up the steamroller, because it's headed for conference play! LET'S GO CATS!!! |

Re: CofC @ Vermont
Not sure what to expect for this game. Charleston is a bit like UVM in the sense that they either play really well, or turn the ball over at record speeds. The only game I have seen them play was agains Louisville which really isn't fair, they lost 80-38. That game was @ Chareston as well.
I like our chances in this one though, I hope we continue to try and run like we did in the second half last time out. Our offense flows much better and I think the guys play better overall in that style. Cats by 8.

Re: CofC @ Vermont
I have no idea what to expect either from CofC- this team beat Baylor when Baylor was #21 and also lost to a D2 school. That said, Baylor was missing Brady Heslip in that game.
CofC is undefeated on the road.

Re: CofC @ Vermont
Which Vermont team is going to show up? The one that played tough with UConn & took it to Northeastern, Yale & Harvard...or the one that squeaked by Siena and lost to Towson?
Towson is the only common opponent and C of C beat them by 17 back in early November.

In our losses the theme has been playing bigger, more athletic teams and facing aggressive man-to-man defense, which has resulted in a lot of turnovers and generally poor offensive execution. CofC will probably be more athletic and bigger than we are, though I haven't spent much time peaking at their roster. They were a couple seasons ago w/ Goudelock. I'm not feeling real great about this match up and had it as a L when the schedule was announced, so will see what happens.

Re: CofC @ Vermont
*Thought I saw Kilpatrick in street clothes- injury or sick?
*Rusin airballed a 3 then missed a point blank layup on a great pass by Voelkel.
