Re: UVM @ UNH 1/2
I wonder if there is a split between two player factions, gruntled and disgruntled. Myrick and Rhoades, for example, don't play like they have given up at all. It doesn't take much to take away your focus on the game, though.

Re: UVM @ UNH 1/2
Much like BU, UNH has had some tough one possession losses (Boston College, Colgate) this season that may have dampened the spirits enough to cause some dysfunction. Rhoads was at the center of both those defeats and it's possible his teammates have lost faith in his ability to lead them to victory. It's critical to have a closer and someone at point you can really trust to get the team in position to win. It appears that UNH is lacking in both those qualities.
I too wonder what's going on with Konan? That guy was a beast last season. I didn't see the game last night but from what I heard on the radio broadcast his shots were painfully off. |

It's disappointing - I thought Pelcher, Konan and Myrick would be a frontcourt that could cause problems. Instead Myrick is pretty much a black hole when he gets the ball, Pelcher seems to get 2 quick fouls and have to sit quite a bit, and Konan is hurt. Maybe he pulls it together, but at this point I don't see much bright light at the end of this seasons tunnel for UNH. |

Bummer- I thought Jones was a solid player. That said, I was real impressed by Bronner against UVM and if it means more opportunities for him, that's a good thing. Orozco showed promise as well.

Re: UVM @ UNH 1/2
One of the take aways from this game for me is to illustrate our depth is that 3 of our top 4 scorers were quiet and or struggled in this game offensively, yet we were still able to really cruise for the bulk of the second half and ended up winning by 13.
I know that the opponent was UNH- good team but not a top of the conference foe, but there is a total of 0 other schools in the conference that could still win a game when 3 of it's top 4 scorers shoot 5/19 and only score 14pts combined. It's not always exciting and is very different than having a couple top dogs, but it makes us very difficult to beat.

Re: UVM @ UNH 1/2
Bronner def looked pretty good. I thought he played solid all night. Rhoads had a good game. Myrick couldnt finish. He has not outside shot. He has a great drive but he has trouble finishing. 5-15 hurts the team. I like pelcher. He is a good big. He doesnt the ball enough. Orozco is a freshmen but I wasnt impressed. He seems very small for a sg. He hasnt shot well all year. He didnt seem very quick. I'm not sure what his MO is. I think he could be a solid 4 year back up. He is still a freshmen so he has plenty of chances to prove people wrong. Any freshmen could become a pretty good player with A LOT of hardwork for the most part.
