Re: Albany at UVM 1/5/13
Really good stuff from the Cats on both ends in the first half. Nice move from Trey Blue to finish at the buzzer. Hopefully they'll be ready for the second half, as presumably Albany will be fired up.

Re: Albany at UVM 1/5/13
Half-time interview with Brian Voelkel. Said he'd spent a lot of time during the past off-season working with "Coach Kyle" [Cieplicki] on his 3-point shooting. When asked about what he liked best when on the floor, he said it would be grabbing an offensive rebound towards the end of the game.

Perfect storm for UVM right now. Playing some of their best ball of the season with UA playing their worst game of the season. It's rough. I won't say this game is over but it probably is.

Re: Albany at UVM 1/5/13
sorry for the rapid posts. I'd like to see them throw some of their sets out the window and let Black create in the second half. Force them to double him and dish or score.

Re: Albany at UVM 1/5/13
I don't know how the second half goes, but that first half was a clinic by UVM. Haven't played this well since Northeastern/Harvard. Defense has been superb. UVM has really been aggressive on offense and looked to attack as well.
Neither Black or Iati have gotten open looks really. Iati has thrown up some wild 3s.

I've been hinting for weeks that ua's defense is very suspect... Today Vermont put it out front and center... Only marginally improved from last year and today completely exposed by a team that is fundamental very strong...

Rowley for Albany has played well.
