Case gym Tuesday at 7pm. Will be a good conference road test against BU. Need to play with the same level of intensity on defense as Albany game and take care of the basketball on offense. Our big men will be key in this game- they need to step up when Irving/Watson get into the lane (which they will, let's not pretend they won't) and on offense hopefully we can get shots inside and wear down the Terriers. Need to make sure Papale and Robinson are defended closely as well from 3.

Should be a good game. Sam- don't know yet whether I can grab food/beer before the game. Our nanny is out of the country right now so I might be going with the fam. Will let you know. We should do that at some point though, it's pretty long overdue at this point.

Wow. Quite the run from BU / collapse by UVM. BU totally picked up their game and took it to UVM. You could tell by their body language by the end of the first half.

Also unbelievable how many 2nd and 3rd chance close-up bunnies the Cats have missed. Guys. You are halfway to 7 feet tall. Put the nice ball in the basket.

Big Game Sandro made a brief appearance in the second half, and was terrific, but then went away again. Disappointing from the Cats.

Good game from the Terriers.

Very solid and well-deserved win for the Terriers. Holding that lead with 5 mins left showed they are learning from the tough losses. Gutsy too considering they were missing 2 starters for almost the whole game. Dieudonne never appeared, didn't catch the reason, and Travis Robinson our best defender got 2 teeth knocked out trying to take a charge very early in the first half

Happy to see the win and looking forward to Saturday

For exactly this reason above after I ordered the stream for the BU/UHA game I cancelled my account immediately after the game. Knowing myself I would not only forget to cancel it down the road and even when I remembered to do it I probably wouldn't be able to figure out how to. That being said I get really pissed when they do not even offer to purchase a single game option.

So true.....at our level even the best team will have some clunkers. Some days the shots do not fall and the team looks slow. The good teams bounce back from this like Albany did yesterday. From today's box score it looks like the shots weren't falling for UVM today. It happens. They are a good team and will bounce back.

I'm really disappointed the Cats couldn't find a way to expose the thin front line of BU. I stand by my assertion that we need a low post coach. All the UVM assistants were guards. Ethan O'Day started the year off productive and has basically disappeared under the basket. I honestly can't remember the last time he's scored a field goal with his back to basket scoring over a defender. He was doing that pretty regularly in the first four games. I really love our coaching staff but we need to develop a more traditional low post presence. In games like these pounding the ball down low and wearing the few post players BU has down or getting them in foul trouble is a much better game plan than just chucking deep balls.

Getting complacent and jacking 3's is no way to win basketball games. Rusin is a microcosm of this basketball team, streaky and inconsistent. It seems like Rusin has one or two solid performances backed-up by a stinker. Just like the Catamounts. Until we can figure out how to work through our slumps on the court I have tempered expectations this year.

I'd really like to see the inside out game, with more balance in scoring come from low-post shots and kick outs. I do like that Sandro, Trey, Brian, and Clancy all are willing to slash but this team doesn't kick out to open man very much. In the past that was a big part of our offense.
