Hate to be a negative Nancy but...Tommy played well yesterday, however 8 turnovers is a bit much. He needs to slow down at times. He can't do that against BU or UVM and expect to win.

As a Binghamton fan the Binghamton @ Boston U game was tough to watch, not to mention having to sit through halftime and the first 5 minutes of the second half with the fire alarm going off. The Bearcats were just over matched, but again they showed a lot of hustle and didn't let down even when the score got very lopsided. Hopefully they can pull off a few wins over the rest of the conference schedule.

Before the game Binghamton had a small alumni gathering at T's pub right around the corner from Case. It was great to see a handful of Bearcats and we were given the opportunity to talk one on one with Coach Dempsey, the new AD and a couple of others within the new administration. I have to say that after having these conversations I'm excited about the direction of the program and how everyone is committed to building a strong team without cutting any corners. I was very impressed with Coach Dempsey and can't wait to see the new recruits come in next year, all of which he spoke very highly of.

You need two teams to be good together for a few years to have a rivalry - Coppenrath vs Rashad Bell/Chaz Carr era. Before that it was BU butting heads with Drexel every year in the AE - Tunji Awojobi vs Malik Rose.

I think it all comes down to travel budget and prospective non-conference opponents. I don't think BU should play AE schools in the non-conference slate instead of high-major opponents, or even teams that are regional and a slight step up (URI, UMass, Harvard). But I would much rather see BU play an AE school than a team like Coastal Carolina - the dregs of the mid-major ranks who they have no history with and get nothing out of playing... at least against a former conference foe there is a little history.

As much as I'll miss the AE opponents, I agree with this sentiment.

And just to throw a bit on the other fire, I'll miss the high percentage of cranky, old, know-it-all, white guy UVM fans who complain about every call!

That's not true...only the ones that go against Vermont.

I loved the crowd making the call during the fdu game. The guy caught the inbounds pass and took 1 too many steps. The whole crowd blows up. The ref was pretty much like hold on a sec I got it.
