Can anyone explain to me the logic behind scheduling Hartford Men's team playing
Stony Brook at 2PM at Stony Brook and the Women's team playing Stony Brook at home
at the same exact time. I live in Calif and watch all men's and women's games on my computer. I prefer to listen to the radio announcers for both games. If I don't mute the videos which is real-time on two different computers I'm watching two videos and hearing four different audios at the same time. I mute the two videos
and listen to two different audio feeds which are about 30 seconds delay.

The majority of the schedule is like this. They even do it in the non-conference schedule. Am I the one who thinks this really sucks?

I tend to agree with this. I think this affects the womens fans a bit more then the mens, but as a whole, wouldn't the athletic departments want the most fans as possible? I feel like having the teams play at separate times would achieve this to keep all fan bases migrating to as many games as possible as well as keep ticket sales up.

I also can't stand this. I must also look ridiculous when my wife walks in as I have my PC on one game....my Mac on another game and my IPad on the game stats. I prefer to listen to the Hartford announcers but I don't as I don't want to hear about things 30 seconds after I see them.

I agree the whole fan base is splintered and has to choose one team over the other.
Stupid. I know in Hartford's case the men's and women's teams are really close and
are each other's biggest supporters. They can't even see and support each other play. Again more than stupid.

Lazy way to schedule - you dont have to think at all doing it this way.

I'm perplexed as I see no financial, logistical or promotional benefits for either
school. If anything I see a splintering of their athletic departments.

I dont think there is many men's and women's fans. I do like the idea of double headers though which UVM is doing today.

Conferences across the country, as well as high school, do this. Not defending it, just saying it's not limited to the AE.

I'm just trying to find out what the reasoning is behind scheduling that way. I
usually can see both sides of any of situation, but as far as this is concerned I can't think of one reason. Just trying to see if someone out here can shed some light on it.

They want to play the games during the middle of the day when athletes body is best suited to play and you have to play night games on weekdays to get people to attend. When you send the men's team away you have an open gym to host the women's game. It's convenient.
