Active hands, good positioning, and long arms usually help do the trick. Of course we are talking about making passes that are assist. If not then only one of us is talking about basketball with some knowledge.

Also to stop somebody from even making the most basic pass you can steal the ball from them before they do. Possible.

Like I said before, it makes no sense to put our best defender on BV. You guys would know better thn I would. How often has a team put their #1 defensive guy on BV thinking they need to make it a focus to try and shut him out of the offensive side of the court?

Horn is a pretty impressive story. Obviously, we've become well acquainted with walk-ons at Binghamton in recent years but most of the walk-ons who have done well at Bing (and at other schools) at least showed up at the school with the intention of playing basketball.

When Horn showed up in Binghamton his basketball career was over. It was only the need for players that caused Bing to have that open tryout 3 years ago. So the kid has gone from "nothing" to being a player who can be an effective defensive stopper against a mid-majors best offensive threat.

I can only assume that takes a whole lot of hard work and perseverance.
