Stony Brook @ Vermont 1-18

This game can't come soon enough. What's the over/under on how many SBU posters go into hibernation following the game?

Re: Stony Brook @ Vermont 1-18

The fact is all of the pressure is on VERMONT. VERMONT should win this game. VERMONT is the defending champ, VERMONT is the home team, VERMONT hasnt played any D3 schools, VERMONT already has 1 loss to a team SBU beat by 30, VERMONT is the team with 10 years of dominance, VERMONT is the team that virtually brought back its entire team after winning a tittle last year, VERMONT will have 3000+ fans, while SBU plays in a rec league gym, VERMONT doesnt have their starting point guard on the bench because of injury, VERMONT does not have a 6 hour drive, VERMONT has Brian Voelkel whom is better than Tommy Brenton, VERMONT has Ethan O'Day who is just like warney, Vermont has a veteran point guard, VERMONT has 3 consecutive wins at home while SBU has yet to play a road conference game, VERMONT beat Albany by 25....the list goes on

Do i hope SBU wins? yes, will i be excited if they win? yes, Can anyone really expect SBU to win? No

Disagree with some of what you said, but too tired to point out what. I'll simply lend my 2 cents instead.

1) SBU has acted and played like it's the class of the conference, it's time to put up or shut up.

2) Both teams are down starters, players who could realistically come back in time for the conference tournament. Thus - while I hope for an SBU win as always, I also understand that this game only tells part of the story of the matchup between these teams - for a game that truly matters.

Re: Stony Brook @ Vermont 1-18

I agree the pressure is on UVM. IF UVM wins it's just UVM taking care of business at home. It won't mean as much as SB winning on the road. SB can always say we are tied in the loss column now and haven't played UVM at home yet. The only thing UVM can say if they lose is that they have a bigger impact player out than SB right now and UVM has got it done in the AE tourney when it matters. There is something to hold onto if UVM loses but SB has more to hang onto after a loss.

That being said win or lose I have faith come tourney time UVM will step it up. I would like the 1 seed though and if we lose this game I think we can kiss it good bye.

I was being sarcastic about a couple things like O'Day and Voelkel, but for the most part only 1 game seperates these two teams. Vermont should have the edge and should win.

Re: Stony Brook @ Vermont 1-18

Another no-loss situation for UA fans...either UVM gets a second loss or SBU goes into a tie with Albany and UVM in the loss column.

Actually, there is a loss. You don't get the ESPNU game!
