Again, my point wasn't to highlight or stick this in peoples face like SBU fans do every time they take a $%it...At the time of the win some looked at it with skepticism saying, how good can Washington really be? So as the results continue to roll in, the answer is...pretty good.

Re: UA's win @ Washington
NIT appearance is better than any regular season win. I would rather be the best regular season team in the AE than win 1 game against a bcs team. Maybe a top 25 team would be an exception. UVM did beat 14 ranked BC a few years back.

Re: UA's win @ Washington
That was in the tourney though...still, Washington was our first BCS win...and it was a good one.

Re: UA's win @ Washington
A lot of what you said makes sense, but the NIT appearance thing. Nobody plays for NIT spots.

I respect that answer. I also respect Vermont as a program, partially because they came to St. Louis last year.

Yes, the UA win has turned out to be a great win for the Danes and the league.

Re: UA's win @ Washington
In the AE, getting to the NIT is a bitter-sweet thing. You have to lose the tourney after winning the regular season in order to get there. And once you are there, nobody much cares except your fan base. Still, compared to the pointed stick....

Re: UA's win @ Washington
Comes from a Dayton-Xavier pissing match (one of many) where UD thought their winning the NIT was better than Xavier going to the Sweet 16 and losing.
