Re: Vermont vs Maine 1/22/13
I expect UVM to be fully prepared and ready for this game, to take control early and never let up. Maine will probably play harder than normal, but as they fall behind it's going to hard for them not to give up. Woodward may have them playing some junk defense, like 2-1-2, but he won't have motivated them and that is what they need.
UVM 74, Maine 55. |

Per Chris Villani, apparently Maine starting PG Xavier Pollard is suspended for this game and is out.

"Violation of team rules" per the ESPN announcer just now.

Nice they're playing in Alfond and not the other weird/sketchy gym they played in last year. At least this one has light in it.

Re: Vermont vs Maine 1/22/13
Fraser nails a 3 for Maine. Maine leads 10-7. Shooting very well to start.
Edit: look like it was a 2. 9-7 Maine.

Re: Vermont vs Maine 1/22/13
Offensive slugfest thus far. Vermont better step up the D if they interested in walking out of this gym with a victory. I'm not confident we can shoot our way to a victory. Although up to this point we are hitting a good percentage of shots.

Maine 25-22. Neither team is really missing shots.

Re: Vermont vs Maine 1/22/13
Holy crap...both teams on fire!
Oh, and Maine is quite possibly the worst team in the country when it comes to defending the on-ball screen at the top of the key.
