Candon has really struggled putting two good shooting nights together this season. He continues to be a gunner
when the shots aren't falling. Players need to continue to take the ball inside the paint. It worked well
in the first half.

In all seriousness, watch Maine on offense. They move a little...they don't set good screens, nobody cuts hard...and that is when there is actually movement. Then watch them on defense. They are never in good help side position, they don't defend on-ball screens well at all (no hedge, no double team, go way below...just so non aggressive). They rebound decently but don't really do a good job at boxing out.

It's just really not very good...

In contrast, watch how hard Vermont uses screens, how they headhunt when setting them, how they talk to each other...totally different and the way you are supposed to play the game.

Go hard or go home...

The plays are run for Rusin. He is getting open shots and just not making them. Hence the term streaky. It wasn't a coincidence that as soon as Voelkel hit the bench our offense hit the skids.

At some point, when the results - the style of play, the in game adjustments or lack there of, and the fact that not once in the past 8 years has Maine played its best basketball at the end of the season - continue to stay the same despite constant roster turnover, you've gotta start looking at the constant through it all, aka the staff.

Sometimes it's not the arrows, it's the Indian.

Even the announcers are noticing that kind of talk. Doesn't look like Edwards is saying much. Only head turned when the camera is on them is Voelkel.

Some insider rumor about what he said that got Tommy mad....not appropriate for this board.
