Vermont vs Maine 1/22/13
The next AE game is at 7PM at Maine.
I watched some of the Maine/Bing game and the Maine players would mostly maintain a 6 or 8 foot distance from the Bing player they were "covering". If that's their idea of defense it's going to be a very lopsided game. |

NotDeadYet - be careful maine has plenty of talent and someday they may put it together.
This should clearly be a UVM win by double digits but iwould not be surprised if Maine won. As a UA fan I'm not to excited about our game in Maine. |

I think UVM will take Maine very seriously, as they should. Maine has played some good games this year and they do have talent. Edwards and Fraser are real good. It's Woodward who is real bad.

Re: Vermont vs Maine 1/22/13
Does this feel like it could be a trap game for UVM? Really long road trip, coming off a pretty big win, playing against a Maine team with a ton of individual talent? Not that I would consider it a huge upset if Maine won, they are the home team after all.
I worry about UVM's inconsistency. Sometimes we just don't show up to play. I hope we are over that pattern. I have to hope Coach Markwood does a pretty good scout against his old team. I'm really glad I can watch the game somewhere! Go cats! |

Not to mention, Maine just lost at home to Binghamton, which should serve to re-focus any team

Re: Vermont vs Maine 1/22/13
LoL....Oh, I think Vermont is the better team and Vermont should win. I think Maine's overwhelming "talent" is overblown/overhyped. Outside of Edwards/Fraser/Allison I don't know if there is another player on Maine's roster I'd take for UVM. Their outside shooting is pretty suspect as well.
That all said, the timing for this game is pretty much the text book definition of a classic "trap game". Road game, after tough game against SBU, sandwiched between games against SBU and Albany, and Maine coming off a loss to Bing should be re-focused.
