Important league game for UVM & Hartford. Nice gesture by the conference for giving UMBC & Bing and ESPN3 match-up.

Not sure if this has been reported on here, but former UMBC player Rich Flemming died in Philadelphia this weekend. He was 24.

UMBC has a #24 jersey draped over an empty chair at Binghamton (EDIT: It is Will Wise's, who was suspended last week). While Flemming wore #4, I assume that the jersey is in honor of him.

Most might remember him from the 2008-2009 championship game in Binghamton. Scored team high 14 points and 11 rebounds.

RIP, Rich.

That's sad, I just started following basketball at the end of that season so I didn't really know him.

UMBC is about as private as you can get when it comes to disclosing team information, but it was reported he and Brett Roseboro (also suspended) got into an "altercation" at practice.

Sorry to hear about Flemming. I remember him.

UNH leads 35 - 22 at half. The evolution of Chris Matagrano into a useful player has been remarkable. Good for him.

I also LOVE seeing Tommy McDonell play. Football coach's son, works harder than anyone on the team. He is EVERYWHERE. Great defender. Think he's got a definite future here as a player.
