Re: SBU apparently gets waiver to Host AE Title Game at Pritchard (if it gets there obviously)
I don't think anyone is paying attention now because their teams weren't playing tonight, but when I think more people realize this they aren't going to be too happy, no. Seems a few other school's fans think it's a joke as well.
And of course, it's all hypothetical because SBU needs to actually make and host the championship game- but if/when they do, whether it's Vermont, Albany, Hartford, Maine, etc...the opposing fans are not going to be happy...is the main point. Shouldn't have to spell this out for you.

[QUOTE=nycwolf;7266922]Funny bing people talking about embarrassing! Good one
If you want to join bing in getting to the NCAA in a unfair way more power to ya. It will leave Albany the only suny school that could do it the right way. |

You're absolutely right GoBing. Do you think Pete Thamel wil get a hold of this story? it could ruin Stony Brook's program...

Re: SBU apparently gets waiver to Host AE Title Game at Pritchard (if it gets there obviously)
So since we've established the logistics, do SBU fans know how it's going to work in terms of allotment?
1300 tickets- who do they go to? How many season ticket holders does SBU have ? Students then faculty/staff/alumni....how many students will realistically be able to go to a championship game at Pritchard?

Re: SBU apparently gets waiver to Host AE Title Game at Pritchard (if it gets there obviously)
One thing is for sure, a few people will make big bucks jacking up the prices on tickets if Stony Brook hosts the championship. If Stony Brook makes it to the title game, the league will get a serious backlash from the opposing school's fans. I was under the impression this was Division I athletics.

LoL...We'd never lose a game at home. Ever. Against anyone. And did you read the link I posted about last year's game? I wouldn't be surprised if there is a backlash against SBU from those associated with SBU...I mean, SOOO many people would get shut out of this thing. I'll be there if UVM is playing, not worried about that. But still.

Re: SBU apparently gets waiver to Host AE Title Game at Pritchard (if it gets there obviously)
Of course this was granted now people....think about it. No one has to look further than the following title, "Stony Brook University President and Chairman of the America East Board of Presidents Dr. Samuel L. Stanley"
Since BU is out, SBU is running the President's Council, thus now running the conference. I hate to break it SBU Fans (who want out) and all SBU hating fans (the other 8 schools), SBU isn't going anywhere. They are going to be in the AE for a long time. Why would they want to leave, they're in charge now. |

Not sure why you are all getting your panties in a bunch now. I broke this news on these forums weeks ago. Shame on you if you chose to keep your heads buried in the sand. Im too tired to find the post now - but i'll dig it out tomorrow. Salty said it. Take it to the bank.
I'll only think this sucks if I dont get a ticket. If im in the building then im fine with it. |

They haven't earned the right to play in their home gym for 1 year. They still have a few more games to go. Just because they got the waiver doesn't mean they earned it. Back to your more seats is more money comment. I agree. That's why the Championship game shouldnt be held at Pritchard high school gym. |
