UVM:

The Vermont contract is done, Maine was a buy game. We will play @bu, UAB and CCSU at home.
That's good for you because losing Smith & Lee you don't want none next year :)

Hopefully the series can be renewed the year after. Glad we did a recent home and home, think both games were good games and certainly each other benefited RPI-wise.

So, Hartford is going to open the season with a gimme...LOL. Wow, most likely opening up the year and watching the Cards drop down the National Championship banner in the KFC Yum Center.

I'm sure Maine will be playing UM-Machias or Husson College this year...maybe even throw in a Colby College or Bowdoin. Hopefully those games will be played in the new Cross Ins Center in Bangor.

I think I recall on Villani's radio show someone said we weren't going to be playing BU next season but would begin a series the following season- not sure if that's accurate or not.

NU is too scared to play us this year big shock.

Guaranteed games
vs Siena, @ Duke, @ Dartmouth, vs Qpac

Harvard, Yale, Towson, NU, FDU series are all even. We may have a contract running a couple more years with any of them but the home and home series are even right now. We will prolly play at Canisius (bracket buster return game) this year since I'm sure we have trouble getting home games with are senior class. We have played Yale 6 straight years. We are going to play Qpac for the 8 straight year.

Vermont will be travelling to Rhode Island again this year. They will play at Bryant. According to today's Providence Journal, the Bryant Bulldogs will host Lehigh, Vermont, and N Dakota State and play at Gonzaga, Ohio State, and Notre Dame. Bryant just extended Coach Tim O'Shea an additional four years (he already had three years left on the original contract) if he meets certain benchmarks. O'Shea joins two other RI D1 coaches, Cooley at PC and Hurley at URI, that also got extensions this past week.

Looks like O'Shea is going out & bringing home the money for his extension...LOL.

Congrats on retaining Hurley...that's huge.

I wonder if the Stony Brook faithful are worried....

From HoopDirt:

• Multiple sources have reported that Mt. Ida College (MA) is down to four finalists. The final group will finish interviews this week, and a new coach could be named as early as next week. I’ve also heard that the job is moving from part-time to full-time

Mount Ida with a Full Time coach could be very dangerous to SBU

Per Chris Villani, we have two more games remaining with Harvard, which for some reason the series went Home, Away, Away, Home. Anyways, that's better for me personally and will be a huge game as Harvard will be a Top 25 team next year.

So far:

Home:
Quinnipiac
Siena

Away:

Duke
Harvard
Bryant
Dartmouth

Villani also said we're working on getting an "A-10" caliber home game. Could it be GW maybe? I'd like our chances pretty well in that game.

Boy, I doubt it. There are still a few players on the roster that he recruited right? Usually coaches won't go play their former teams until everyone has graduated but maybe he is different.

If new member umass lowell can get a a10 home game this year then uvm should be able to!
Pretty big difference between Lowell & Vermont in terms of quality of team, recruiting ground, etc. Teams want to schedule road games at winnable places as that is good for the RPI (winning road games gets weighted more heavily).

Lonergan lost some talent from last year's roster. Pellom and Kromah both decided not to come back. He lost a good recruit who decommited. He has a nice starting five but the depth is going to be a challenge for GW. He has two recruits coming but neither seem to be game changers.

Wow, I hate them already...LOL. Nice looking schedule so far.

per Jon Rothstein, date and matchups for the not-so-secret triple header at TD Garden in Boston:

Tripleheader at TD Banknorth Garden on Sunday 11/10. Holy Cross vs. Harvard, Boston College vs. Umass, Boston University vs. Northeastern...

Not necessarily my ideal match-ups as Harvard will be the best team, but they make sense.

Should be at home since it's a return Bracketbusters game from when SBU played @ Matthews in 2012.

VCU game is nice.

NU's OOC

Home - CCSU, UAB, Harvard

Away - VCU, Stony Brook

Neutral - BU, Puerto Rico (with Michigan, Georgetown, Florida State, Kansas State, VCU, Charlotte, Long Beach)

VCU is part of the Puerto Rico tournament.

We still need like 7 more games.

I may be missing a couple that may have been announced.

Well, if Duquesne is expected to be as good as they were last year (Terrible) then that would explain trying to play as many AE schools as possible. Nothing more than that.

Did you look at the rest of that schedule? What an embarrassingly weak schedule for an A10 school.
