I'm about 3 months into a Directv contract. I used to have Time Warner and still have my internet through Time Warner. I think i'm screwed in regards to ESPN3. Direct does not have any affiliation with ESPN3 and I can't figure out how to access that content. While Time Warner needed to be sent a message about charging too much I am starting to regret my decision. They both offer good programming but I am missing my HBOGO and WatchESPN.

Can you get Verizon TV/Internet in your area, and does Verizon have ESPN3? I've heard from people around me that have switched from Comcast to Verizon that it's both cheaper/better/Internet faster.

Time Warner has the monopoly here. Would be nice for there to be some comp from Verizon at some point. I do know people with Time Warner so I do think I can pirate their username and PW - that is a good idea.

Bosi - I don't need ESPN3 to watch Albany anymore. Seeing how great and dominant a team you guys have been I purchased season tickets to Albany BBall this season. You guys are an hour closer to me than SB is.

and just because I can't help being a bit snarky.....

Ohhhhhh 3 times on ESPN3, howwwwww impressssivveeeeeeeee! SB could never compete with that. Oh wait a second, maybe we can - SEC Network, ESPNU, Fox Sports Ohio, Fox Sports Network, Pac 12 Network, 8 ESPN3 appearances, and one appearance on ESPN2 on Sat March 14 at 11 am.

Man, the off season is long. Think we're close to the point of almost nothing to talk about. This might not be rock bottom, but its close.

You know season is right around the corner when there's a thread about cable providers and people are responding.
