I mean, Walsh does have more wins in his first three years than Brennan. And if Myers comes back next year, I wouldn't be shocked to see Maine in double digits.

Sorry if I've taken my animus into this forum. But, the MBR administrator has banned me there for my critiques of Cim's ludicrous postings.
I reserve the right to vent here once in a while.

YEAH, TERRIBLE X's and O's guy at RIC, D-III where X's and O's is more important than talent.

Whatever the excuses...one more bad season and he is OUT.
AND, YOU WOULD know, right?

I never said that UM rivals Gonzaga in basketball....that is YOU putting words in my mouth. I said that there is nothing special about Spokane as a city & location...it's an isolated city that is larger than Bangor but far away from large destination cities. Before Mark Few...Spokane was not part of the mainstream college hoop world (and yes, I know that John Stockton went there).
AND, I NEVER said that you compared Gonzaga to UMaine for basketball. But, you did say that Spokane had as little to offer as Bangor/Orono. In fact, Spokane IS a destination city. Bangor is a destination most people avoid.

This seems directed at the AD....I'm not the AD. The roster is loaded with walk-ons and about 3 or 4 D-1 level players.

I don't have a small mind. I base my opinion on numbers.....like 18-74.
NUMBERS DON'T ALWAYS tell the story. But, small minds focus on that alone without any consideration for what goes on for those numbers to exist.
Two questions:
1) Is is easy to recruit, to bring athletes to Maine?
2) Is Maine a state that produces a lot of D-I level player that might want to stay "home" and play for the state team?

Within those two questions are the answers behind the numbers.

Can't wait. But there is no one ... NO ONE ... with less basketball expertise that attempts to pass himself off as knowledgeable/informed than Cimbollek.

Re: Maine fans: a plea for sanity

Bob Walsh has averaged 6 wins and won less than 25% of his games over his first 3 seasons. If he has another one like the last 3, he is gone....and should be!

Says the guy that lives in a world where he thinks Quinnipiac is a better basketball job than Vermont.

You were banned from another message board, lol- honestly, I'm shocked!

Judging by the quality of your posts thus far, your joining over here is a great win for this board.

Question the word man in man..ny as you don't have the intestinal fortitude to reveal who you are as you hide behind a user name like most of my critics, except TAL1957.

Gavett stayed home at Maine because of family member's serious health issue.

For your information Gavett didn't get enough touches because he didn't play point guard at Maine. If he had they wouldn't have lost to the state series teams. He was out of position as a forward.

For your information. when Gavett lead the olde Yankee Conference, which was certainly a lot tougher then America L'East today,in scoring average of points per game average his junior and senior years they didn't have the 3 point shot either. He also was in every one of the top 10 offensive categories that the Yankee conference kept at that time those two years.

FOR CIM'S INFORMATION, the olde Yankee Conference back then was extremely weak, as was UMaine's schedule. Maine played 10 games in each of Gavett's last two seasons against D-III teams (7) and D-II teams (3).
Nobody gives a F.

Not even the two people that you are trying to communicate this with.

And, you appear to be widely recognized as this forum's Bob Cimbollek, which is most definitely not a good thing.
That, and having your posts "liked" by mainejeff ... guilt by association!
