Move in day for summer/upperclassmen living off-campus is usually June 1st and would suspect first session of summer classes will start soon if they haven't already. Wouldn't be surprised if entire team is in Burlington including the newcomers for orientation which is also starting now.

Re: 2016 - 2017 Vermont Catamounts

Looking at the summer schedule, there seems to be three sessions. One group of classes started May 23, another starts June 20, and the last group starts on July 18. I'm thinking our boys are in the June 20 category.

Josh could be here early and most likely starting a non full schedule as early as he can.

His tweets would seem to suggest he's not yet in the 802... another 4 days, judging by his countdown.

Re: 2016 - 2017 Vermont Catamounts

What are everyone's predictions for stats leaders this season?

My guesses:
PPG- Peyton (14.5)
APG- TBH (4.0)
RPG- Peyton (7.0)
Block PG- Darren (1.5)

What are your predictions about Peyton based on? Have you seen him play in our offensive system (not pick up)? Transfers we've had in the past have not made a big splash in their first eligible year. That's a bold prediction given the number of proven three point shooters we have on the roster. If he averages anywhere close to those numbers, I think that would be great, but the stat I care about more than any other is TEAM WINS.

The guards are going to need to get the ball to the most efficient scorers. Henson needs the rock.

Re: 2016 - 2017 Vermont Catamounts

My Predictions for Scoring:

1) 4 players will average between 10ppg-12ppg
2) 3 of those players will be, in no particular order: TBH, Duncan, Steidl
3) 4th player to avg double-figure scoring will be, in no particular order, one of: Henson, Lamb, Wills

How do you know Henson will be one of the most efficient scorers?

I'm just trying to understand where all this optimism is coming from for a guy that has yet to play one official minute for UVM.

Re: 2016 - 2017 Vermont Catamounts

I'm hopefully/cautiously optimistic on any transfer we get these days- but Henson did average 6.2 ppg in 18.6 mpg in his last season for Tulane in the AAC, so to be fair it's not a stretch to think he could average 10ppg in the AE in what will probably be more minutes as well given void left by O'Day/front court minute situation.

Re: 2016 - 2017 Vermont Catamounts

For comparison, Payen was a seldom-used reserve for Hofstra and averaged 3.1ppg, and even he was able to more than double his scoring avg to 6.9ppg for UVM last year.

Henson produced more at a higher level so would not be surprised if he's able to average double figures....and I also won't be surprised if he doesn't.

The guy to me that really figures to potentially impact the front court scoring is Lamb- no idea how ready he will ultimately be for D1 but it seems to me like he has the potential to also score in double figures.....but probably more variance with Lamb as he's a true frosh. He could make quite an impact right away.

I'm pretty confident that everyone averages 10ppg and we average 130ppg as a team

I was impressed by Henson strength in a work out video and he is also very athletic. Unless he has no touch he will do well in the ae.

There's a certain week in April that fans from UVM would be in heaven there.
