It's the AA (highest) league in Section II, one category bigger than Cremo's league. Same league had Stire (2015 NYSPHSAA state champ), Ogunyemi (Siena), and Kevin Huerter (Maryland)

I'm a long island guy, but I'm somewhat familiar with Shaker. They seem to be one of the better upstate athletic programs in several sports. The big distinction between Shaker and Greece Athena is that Shaker is class AA while Greece Athena is only class A. Class AA is for high schools with sophomore/junior/senior enrollments of 910+ while class A is between 480-909. You'll have some great athletes in class A, for example Lamb, but the competition in general is weaker. I think the Rochester/Buffalo private schools can be very good, and lamb played some non-conference games against them, but I'd assume the every night competition is tougher for Shaker than Greece Athena.

Someone please chime in they disagree.

Shaker plays in the same league as the larger suburbs of the capital district. A bunch of kids play major conference ball, but the city schools are in another division. Cremo comes from a smaller area school.

Rochester has some big basketball schools, but I'm not familiar with them not living in that area.

Sounds like size of school doesn't make much of a difference in the state of New York- obviously you've got the players from the city and nearby areas, but if you can play then you can play. If Lamb and Cremo both played at small schools then that seems to be fine as IMO they are two of the best players in the conference.

Cremo's school isn't that small, it's Class A(2nd largest), but we also have the example of Wincowski, whose numbers at Class C Lake George didn't translate to UMBC.

Look out America East. Stony brook landed quite possibly another Jameel Warney..Ochefu. He comes from Westtown school. if anybody is familiar with that school you will know they are filled with top ESPN 100 BB players.

UVM should be recruiting here hard. These are probably some of the last high school players left that would find Patrick Gym a huge step up from their high school gym.

Just as I thought, the school is tiny. K-12 - - - and total enrollment of 638.

Ochefu had offers from Stony Brook, Hofstra, NJIT, and Rider.

He also tweeted about a VCU offer back in July

https://twitter.com/antochefu32/stat...59239530192896

EDIT: Actually looking through his twitter it looks like he also had the following offers.

Lasalle https://twitter.com/antochefu32/stat...94334970859521

Bowling Green https://twitter.com/antochefu32/stat...34482953699328

Wagner https://twitter.com/antochefu32/stat...87303753945089

Drexel https://twitter.com/antochefu32/stat...05636071526400

Nathan, first off, I love the site. Did these offers fall through the cracks or is there a vetting system at VerbalCommits that determined the offers weren't official?

Also Ochefu is class of 2017, so these posts are in the wrong thread. Can a mod possibly move them to the 2017 thread?

Hmm, some of those I seemed to have missed. I won't name which ones, but sometimes schools retract offers, for which I remove them from the player page if that's the case. Off the top of my head, there's at least one of those schools that could have had their offer removed (can't remember if that's true in Anthony's case).

I haven't been able to see robin's video highlights. Following his stats and comparing it to his brothers on the team mainly Ernie it seems like he is more of a passer than scorer. He rebounds well and is 6'5".

I wonder about his quickness being 6'5". Is he a true PG at the next level or is he more of a 2 guard like his brother? Ernie is a sg because of his lack of ability to penetrate off the dribble. Does Robin have this same weakness? Does he get assist from a high IQ like Ernie and just sees things well being 6'5" or is he a pnentrator. He keeps his turnovers low so the IQ is there.

Excited about the possibility of him as he is probably are most likely recruit outside of Vermonters and has big potential
