Re: OT: 2016 Men's Soccer

Setting aside the many complicated angles to the Harvard cancellation, it will be interesting to see what happens regarding the autobid.

Dartmouth is likely in either way. Columbia likely needs the autobid. Dartmouth has played Harvard already, but Columbia hadn't. Does Columbia get a forfeit? If so, they likely would make the Ivy a two bid league (which it was going to be before this). If not, Dartmouth is probably the only representative.

Re: OT: 2016 Men's Soccer

Pretty tough year to be a fan of College Soccer in Massachusetts. The #4 , #15 and #22 RPI teams in the country and a high probability that not a single one will be in the NCAA tournament...

Hartford defeats New Hampshire 2-1 in Durham, the Wildcats have to hope no upsets happen in the next week.

Binghamton and Vermont are tied 1-1 after a Catamount goal in the 87th minute, currently going into extra time.

Brian Wright with the game-winner for UVM in double-OT. UVM travels to Albany for semis on Wednesday.

They'll have to play a full 90 minutes to beat Albany. These sort of half assed performances will not cut it from here on out.

New projections have both Stony Brook and New Hampshire on the outside looking in. Obviously Stony Brook is still in it as the AE #1 seed but that Hartford win yesterday did make a lot of people not in the league happy.

Albany really embarrassed them during the regular season when they were ranked and getting a lot of press and was the only game they lost badly- so hopefully they remember the feeling and as you said play a complete game/bring focus and intensity.

New Hampshire got a boost with Jacksonville beating #1 seed North Florida in the ASun semifinals. I still think the Wildcats can get in.

Huge game tonight- it's finally here. UVM probably in NCAA tournament but could leave no doubt with a win tonight. Go Cats Go!

UVM loses 0-2 to Albany, so will have to wait for NCAA at-large.

IMO our defense just not on same level as offense but it's been that way all season I guess, and the second Albany goal wasn't something that couldn't have been handled, especially when our goalie made two brilliant saves in one sequence a bit earlier. Disappointing effort.

Re: OT: 2016 Men's Soccer

Stony Brook is definitely out. New Hampshire may have gotten a RPI boost because of Hartford's win, but Old Dominion's win over South Carolina in the Conference USA Tournament may have complicated things.
