Yep, Bramanti gone as well. I was never a big fan of his, but his replacement Jordan Reed is a very similar player. Defensive-minded guard, not a threat on the offensive end save for an occasional open 3-point shot.

O/U on points scored in Lowell at Maine? They're both gonna break 100 right? I'll be in a seminar during the game, but can't imagine there will be much defense played

Maine does actually play defense. We only scored 75 against them though part of that was we went with our bench and stopped scoring.

But they do try to play defense. They aren't like Citadel.

Albany looks positively aweful down 9 already... Shocking how this season is unraveling considering a decent ooc.

Under 12, UMBC leads, 16-6. But already starting to get sloppy.

Re: AE Gameday 1/11/17

We settled down a bit and lead 25-10 at the under 8 timeout.

Attia is too big for Lamar. Even if Nolan doesn't get his shooting touch back we need his rebounding.

It's crazy, we are 1-11 from 2-point shots.

Can't keep relying on the 3's. Interesting how many offensive rebounds the Hawks were getting in that last possession. Also interesting to see Malcolm Brent getting more minutes, too.

24-15 uvm. Henson 2-2 for threes. He looks 100% but did not start.

We are playing Vermont on Friday so I think he's trying to see if he can beat Hartford with more bench minutes. Right now, it's not working.

We are also 2-12 from 2-point which is keeping this close.

Down to six points and increased intensity by Hartford (with a zone) is holding us to just 2 points in the last 4 minutes.

Re: AE Gameday 1/11/17

We are seeing some of the struggles of running a half-court offense right now due to Hartford's zone.

UMBC is 4-16 from 2-point range and 9-18 from 3-point. I don't expect that trend to continue as we will definitely try to push tempo for transition buckets in the second half.

Hartford has the reverse stats: 8-15 from 2-point and 3-16 from 3-point.

They need to learn how to adjust to the zone, because that first half performance will get eaten alive on Friday.

I agree. Some very tentative shooting in the paint. They had more than their fair share go in and out so I'm wondering how Hartford will do on that rim in the second half.
