I know, and that's all I was saying. This wasn't very hard for you to admit to initially.

Do I expect Purdue to be in the Sweet 16 every year? No, I don't think that's realistic but I expect them to have been there more often then they have (last year that team should have)- and I would have expected some of their stronger teams to at least make Elite 8 under Painter.

This may be a small thing but in this article Lamb refers to this game as his opportunity to show everyone his game. I am paraphrasing his quote but sounds very self first kind of talk, if he was quoted right. I know this has bee alluded to before and it is certainly speculation but this is the first time I have seen comments that may suggest he is thinking about moving to a her conference, after this tourney. What do you think?

I didn't read it that way. Think it just means each individual will have the most people ever watching them play basketball tonight, so each has an opportunity to do something memorable. He sounds super-excited, but obviously knows nothing will be remembered w/out a W and team success.

Oh okay, I hope you are right. I would have stated it differently, like we will show the world etc.

Interesting betting patterns, lots of money on Purdue yesterday, plenty on Vermont this morning, spread is holding at 9 1/2.

I hope I'm right too! Obviously, anything can happen. But I've heard Lamb in other interviews where he's speaking about himself, and don't think it's ever come across as putting himself over team.

Re: Vermont vs Purdue

4 seeds are 2-0...Florida looks like it will hold on to beat ETSU which would make the 4 seeds 3-0. This is usually a pretty common upset match-up so the karma may be there for Vermont as well. I haven't checked, but it's probably been a few years since the 4 seeds all advanced to the 2nd round.

I think Lamb talks about his performance in terms of what he can do to help the team win. His performance, like each player's, is all that they have to contribute to the team and nobody wants to think that they let the team down.

Re: Vermont vs Purdue

Swanigan is an excellent 3pt shooter, even though he is 6'9" and 250. He's the key for Purdue in my opinion. Get him foul trouble by driving on him and our chances go way up.

Haas is 7'2" but can't shoot or defend effectively from further than 2'. Whoever he is guarding should take some outside shots.

I didn't fight traffic hard enough to get the Albany game on there in time.
