Finally a rational post on this game. It is in St. Bonaventure's interest to play a game in Rochester. They did the same last year. St. Bonnie is not playing in Rochester to give Lamb a home game. It works out well for UVM, so we should just be happy.
Yes- It's in St. Bonaventure's interest to play the game in Rochester with a hometown player on the opponents roster as it did last season; its in UVM interests to play St. Bonaventure in Rochester for Lamb.

Without either, it's.... in nobody's interest to play a game in Rochester.

Wasn't trying to be funny. But guys are going it's for Lamb, it's for Tre.

I was just saying it is the caliber of the opponent no matter who they are
going their for.
That's a fair point, and I agree- could have done worse than St. Bonaventure to go to Rochester for.

But I do kinda like saying it's a home game for insert random player.

Let's just say it's a home game for Henson- saves transportation down to Arkansas!

By my count, this will be St. Bonaventure's 8th game in Rochester in the last 12 years, and the 4th-straight year they've played there.

I don't know who was on the visiting team rosters in each of those games, but I'm glad we were able to get this game...because if it wasn't us, it would've been someone else.

Hoopcat your right. We are obviously going to play in Toronto for Tre and Vancouver for Drew as that will be the only real home games we can get for them. a few hours drive from another country is too long.

Awesome! Can't wait to see how we match up against the Raptors and I'm sure we can get the Grizzlies to go back there for a "home" game.

We should be able to hang with the Raptors- especially if Kyle Lowry leaves via free agency. Derozan will be a problem though.

That being said, it will be pretty awesome to have a home game in Toronto for Cam Ward.

Re: 2017-18 America East OOC Schedules

In 2013, Notre Dame women played Duquesne in Toronto while the UConn women will do the same thing this upcoming season. I didn't think it was possible to play regular season games like that but it appears as though that is possible. Maybe Vermont should look into that?

I mean, if Harvard and Stanford can play in China, I'd like to think two teams could find a way to play in Canada if they really, really wanted to.

I thought it was for Henson. I heard he visited Toronto once as a kid.

Re: 2017-18 America East OOC Schedules

Becker referred to all these games as long term contracts though who knows how long.
Vs Dartmouth. Every year.
Vs Qpac 12th in a row. New coach moving forward.
Vs Sienna 8th in a row.
@ Yale. 11th in a row. At least 2 more years as Becker confirmed the same Ivys.
@ Harvard. 7th in a row. At least 2 more years as Becker confirmed the same Ivy's.

New contracts.
@ Kentucky. Season opener, guarantee, Most likely ESPN.
@ Richmond. Guarantee game.
@ NU Dec 9th. Most likely a two year contract.
Vs St Bonaventure (Neutral). Three year contract.
Bahamas exempt tournament.

We are trying to start a couple series (at least home and home) with a couple mid majors. NU
We are trying to get 3 guaranteed games but none will be in New England. Richmond, Kentucky

Nice that's a Saturday game.

Might be a great excuse to visit the city.

Looking forward to the Northeastern game- if we are playing Harvard again that will be two Boston-games. Closest and really only game for me last year was UMass-Lowell, then Hartford.

Northeastern wil be pretty young but is bringing in a really talented (on paper) freshman class. Should be a good one.

For Vermont, the Richmond game is a guarantee game, which is doubly nice because it's winnable.

Rumors swirling that the Vermont season opener is another guarantee payday . . . at Kentucky.
