i don't know if you guys have thought about this one but how good do you think AS weekend will be in a low attendance city like atlanta. they better be able to sell out but will they be good bball fans? will they know who amare is?

Masking and isult edited by aqua I'm in Atlanta, go to Hawks games, and can't even get tickets to the game. It has nothing to do with our bad attendance, it has to do with the big corporations buying up all the seats and then giving them away to people who don't give a Masking edited by aqua about NBA

And just because nobody goes to the lowly Hawks games doesn't mean people in Atlanta don't follow basketball. It just means people don't want to pay $40 bucks to watch a Masking edited by aqua team get blown out every night.

sorry, all the masking is funny to me. sorry you can't get tix but don't get mad at me. i was just wondering if anyone was concerned- like you say yourself the tickets are going to be given to people that don't really care about basketball.
the hawks aren't good by any means but the attendence is HORRIBLE. the grizzlies were the worst team in the league for years but people still went to the games. bottomline, is this going to be a good audience for all-star weekend?

the ASG will be sold out, but I don't know about the rookie/dunk contest. But it should be. The Hawks sell out when a good team (Sac, PHIL, LAL, DAL etc) or when Jordan come to town, so I would expect them to sell out the whole weekend. I'm going to the rookie game and hope to go to the dunk one too.

(BTW, the # of people who go to Hawks games is nothing to measure the number of people who follow b-ball in Georgia)

all i was saying is that the nba fan base is probably a little down in atlanta and was wondering what everyone thought. for example "the AS audience is going to be awesome despite the lack of support for the Hawks" or "yeah, this crowd might not be that great." things of that nature...

man, i would love to be going to that rookie game.
