Re: ESPN is late
well he did say the trade is close to being done, so it might get annoce today, the bad news is all indications show that Foster isn't part of the deal. Should we sign David Anderson, i mean he's better than most big man on the market right now, why not?
Quote:
ESPN - The Indiana Pacers are closing in on acquiring Al Harrington via a sign-and-trade deal, according to a report on ESPN by Marc Stein.
Multiple front office sources believe that the deal is as good as done.
The Pacers' chief competition, the Golden State Warriors , expect Harrington to end up in Indiana with a six-year $57 million deal.
Harrington, sources said, initially told interested suitors he was expecting a six-year deal worth at least $66 million. For the Pacers to pay that much, Atlanta almost certainly would have to be willing to accept a package built around Indiana center Jeff Foster. But Foster, by all indications, is not part of the forthcoming trade.

Re: ESPN is late
Wow, i told everybody on the nets board about this last week lol. I dont think the hawks will get very much in return since it is sign and trade. Fred Jones and Anthony Johnson, have been dealt so they're off the table. The best u can hope for is like foster and sarunas jasekevius or maybe a couple picks + the TE.

Re: ESPN is late
Why are people complaining that the Hawks didnt get a player back. I thought they couldn't due to that judges ruling.

Re: ESPN is late
The judge changed his ruling. Atlanta can now take on contracts longer than 1 year.
It sucks we won't get **** for Al, though..

Re: ESPN is late
here's another article from Marc Stein, it seems that Billy is playing hardball with the Pacers. He want them to asorb John Edwards contract, part with a first rounder and get some cash.
