Re: J.J started today's game
I heard J.J play a big role inthe win against Brazil today. I heard he had a big defensive stop and a clucth free throw.
I don't know but, with how well he's playing , I think the damn media is going to try to get J.J out of Atlanta, sort of like they to get A-Rod traded. They might think he's to good to play for the hawks. Either way as much as they'll want him to get traded it's going to be to hard fro Billy Knight to let him go. If Belkin comes in , well that's another story.

Re: J.J started today's game
He didnt start but did play pretty good. On Brazil's final possesion with them down 3, Joe swiped the ball away from one of the Brazilians and recovered the ball with 3.4 seconds left.

Re: J.J started today's game
I don't get the Joe Johnson hate.
He is a great player. But for some reason, he doesn't seem to get the recognition that he deserves.

It's all due to his contract, he is a great player, but people tend to overshadow that with his contract and the fact he doesn't play for a good team. Not trying to start anything though

Re: J.J started today's game
What's wrong with his contract?
I can understand if he signed a big contract, and then didn't deliver. But he delivered.

Re: J.J started today's game
Johnson doesn't get any recognition because he plays for the Hawks and noone really watches their games. His contract isn't that bad relative to lots of players who sign big deals and disappoint. The draft picks are quite another thing. That stuff has nothing to do with Johnson's play though.
