Latest info!(longest one)
The hawks seem to be going in thress diffrent directions, at this point.
Billy Knight's way
He wants to trade Chills/3 and an expiring contract to Memphis for Pau gasol. Knight love Gasol, and feels a player like him, can make the Hawks a playoff team. Gasol has 3 years left on his contract and that would be accepted by the Judge.
Steve Kerr, has convice Suns Owner to keep the team intact, for a chance at a ring. So no Amare availiable.
Knight tried to go after howard, and will do so again, but Orlando is to scared to make a trade with a division rival.
Memphis is trying to convince Gasol, to stay with them, they feel wt a new GM/Coach they can build around him. They seem to be trying to bluff us out of Horford, who they think would work well with Gasol, in the frontline.
We will most likely not be getting Gasol, at this point, but anything can happen, from now to the draft.
He's trying very hard to get Aldridge, and is asking the Blazers for Aldridge/Jack for the 3, Hawks are gonna workout Conley, and try to hype him up alot, and if that fells, he's perpared to offer the Blazers the #3 for Aldridge straight up.
So now if we keep the pick, he apparently is trying to get the owners to sign off on Brandan Wright or Yi. He prefer Wright, because of hes athletic ability, post skills, and potiential. He knows about the million forwards we have in the frontline, but he believe Woodesen would just have to make it work.
At 11, he wants Crttenton. Knight seem to favor Wright(3), Crittenton(11) to get maximum potiential in this draft.
Mike Woodson's way
He wants to trade both picks for a veteren big man, and point guard. he's tired of having to put out a young team, and getting blame for them underachieving.
He also knows he's on the chopping block, and if Hawks struggle, he's out of there.
So basically he wants "help right now", he wants a real low post threat, and a pure P.G
If there's no trade, Woodson wants this.
3. Horford
11. Law
Horford can play the C/Pf with Zaza and Shellden, with Smoove starting at PF. Horford would be the only low post threat, and would balance the team, with so many jump-shooters. He sees him as the EC version of Amare Stoudamire.
Law- he feels he's the most ready pure point guard. He like Conley, but feels he won't be there, he also like Criitenton, but doesn't want anymore upside picks.
He's against Wright for that reason as well, and doesn't like, his lack of a motor.
Atlanta Spirit group
If they had it their way they would have already got rid of Knight and Woodson, they aren't dumb, they see the players we've passed on, and still realize we have no center and no P.G
They are willing to push for a trade. If the asking price isn't to much, they are fell they'll be very busy on draft night.
If they aren't able to move the pick, here's what they favor
#3. Yi
#11. Crittenton
Yi brings dollars to the organization. There's a pretty big Asian population in Atlanta, and have already explored season ticket deals if we draft him. They know Atlanta has the busiest airports, and they know a causal Yi fan, would come in and watch Yi. they also like that he speaks fluent english.
They like Crittenton, for a similar reason, they like the how they can market the hometown kid, and in 3 years can be the best PG in this draft.
CONCLUSION
They Hawks are trying ver hard to trade for a veteren, but night still is very high on Wright, and see's him as a can't mist prospect. He also sees Yi the same way.
It's gonna be unpredictable how this turns out, one side wants to pick on "upside"(Knight, who else), the other side wants to pick on "help right now"(Woodson), and the other side wants to pick on "marketable picks"(owners)

Re: Latest info!(longest one)
Aldridge is not going to be moved for the #3. It is nothing but a pipe dream.
If Portland goes with Oden - a front line of Oden/Aldridge is going to be a nightmare for anyone to match with.
If Portland goes with Durant - they need someone to play the Center position next to Randolph.
The Hawks do not have what Portland will accept as a value for Aldridge - and that includes the #3 pick - so whoever is floating these rumors is not very familiar with the way Portland values Aldridge.

He's just saying, you're not getting Aldridge. It's Zach/Jack or nothing. No need to be an ******* about it.
Oden-Durant/LMA/ROY aren't going anywhere.

Re: Latest info!(longest one)
Well, considering Billy Knight's retarded, probably none of his own ideas will fall through. Chances are if the Hawks trade with anyone, it would be another team purposing and eventually ripping the Hawks off.
The Hawks really should just draft Horford and a PG at 11, then trade Childress for whoever they can get and call it an off-season. They already have a very solid core of young players and are probably a year or 2 away from being a regular playoff team in the weak East.
Whatever happened to Zaza Pachulia, wasn't he a double double C a year or 2 ago?

Great, we'll trade Big Al & Rajon Rondo for #3, #11, and the Joshes. Deal.

Re: Latest info!(longest one)
What about this trade?
Bulls Trade:
Kirk Hinrich
Chris Duhon
Viktar Khryapa
#9 Pick
Bulls Receive:
#3 Pick
Hawks Trade:
Tyronn Lue
#3 Pick
Hawks Receive:
Kirk Hinrich
#22 Pick
Bobcats Trade:
#22 Pick
Bobcats Receive:
Chris Duhon
Viktar Khryapa
Tyronn Lue
#9 Pick
Basically, the trade breaks down as follows.
Atlanta= Finally gets their point guard in Kirk Hinrich. A veteran, who Woodson would like. They still have their #11 and #22 pick to take big men.
Chicago= Get Al Horford to complete their big man rotation. Clears away capspace to sign Chauncey Billups in free agency.
Charlotte= The salary dump. Everyone they get expires next year, so they are just deferring their capspace a year, not destroying it. They pick up the #9 pick, so they can get both of their guys, Brewer and Noah.
